Just done 3x 10 mins of the 10 Min Solutions Blast Off Belly Fat DVD. Some of the moves are really hard and I think I'll need to practice them a bit before I'm any good at it.
    Could feel them working though!

ETA - after reading about it on another thread I've downloaded the Couch to 5k running program onto my iPod and just had a go at Week 1 Day 1 in the park with the dog. Managed it although it wasn't too easy. Accordingly to a few websites thats about another 175ish calories burned today - hurrah!

I'm glad I've started to write down what I'm eating as it's really brought home to me that I need to up my fruit & veg!

B -berry cereal, plain yog, 1 tsp honey, milk & water
tea, at work and lots of water as it's been muggy all day
L - cheese scone, banana, tea
D- beans on toast, orange juice- v. quick tea as had to go out!
Portion of Key Lime pie and cup of tea
S - pear, grapes, banana & choc chip muffin (HM and low fat/sugar) tea

I think it adds up to about 4 or maybe 5 portions of f&v - do you count beans as one of your 5 a day?

Hi all, please can I join? :)

I generally post on the wedding board (though I used to be over here much more often) and there is a diet thread on there which is good for support and motivation but this thread seems to be more busy and I like how you all post your food diaries.

I have been overweight pretty much since I was 16 but used to be more shapely and curvy...have never been over a size 14 (but I am very short). However for the first 5 months of this year I had a really bad neuropathic pain condition and the medication I was on for that made me absolutely balloon - I think I gained about a stone and a half, and this was while trying to diet! I am better now and finally off the medication and I am assured that I will find it much easier to lose weight now...we'll see.

I have been very 'good' this week and my scales reckon I've lost 4lbs since Monday, but that's not really possible, is it? Wondering if I need new scales. Anyway...this was a bit too long, sorry!

    Morning all :)

MrsCD, you can also count fruit juice as 1 of the 5 a day, but only 1, no matter how much you drink! Same for smoothies, they count as 2 due to the extra fibre :)

Didn't make it to pilates last night as I had terrible heartburn and didn't really fancy going and hanging upside down etc! :rotfl: Did a little bit at home but not enough to count the calories for.

    Meals today:
    Breakfast: babybel, granola bar
Lunch: canteen (again :o) probably cheese salad sandwich and fruit
    Dinner: HM pizzas & salad
    Snacks: babybel, rocky bar

We're running the freezer down in advance of defrosting at the weekend so I'm trying to put off the supermarket until Sunday so I can do a proper stock up shop then. Does mean we're down to the weird and wonderful combinations - tomorrow's dinner is likely to be chicken kievs, red cabbage, peas and new potatoes!

    Morning all :)
Welcome daisyegg, love the name, love daisies . I agree it's horrid what some meds can do, one of the tabs I take for my 'illness' has to have another to counteract the side effects, but it can give me chronic indigestion so I take an indigestion tab to counteract that. Stupid! :(
MrsCD ewww baked beans _pale_ am I the only person who can't bear the nasty, sticky, slimy, orange stuff they come in? When I was pg with DS (30 years ago) I opened a can for the DD's and promptly threw up - last time bb's came into my house . I'm sure there are things I love that others hate though

    B - F&F, sk milk
    D - other half of yesterday's pasta
    T - usual crackers w/marmite, cheese&pickle, marmalade
    S - pineapple, melon, apple
E - 45 mins gym. Step/weights this afternoon while watching Four in a bed - luckily my stairs are in the lounge :D

    Have a sunny day :)

Breakfast Cereals oaty things, can't remember what they are called I threw the packet away
lunch 1 + 1/2 wholemeal roll with 1 slice of ham and 1/2 slice of salami, 1/2 packet mrT value ready salted crisps. 1 mandarin + 1 kiwi fruit
    snack Healthy snack from Graze
Dinner tuna kebab and tiny lamb chop with rice mixed with mixed veg. Fresh raspberries from garden with meringue and ice cream

Then after all that good work - Mr Aldahbra comes home with a treat ~ 4 MrT chocolate eclairs ~ 2 for me and 2 for him. I feel obligated to eat my special treat.
