I've managed to up our food budget to about £140 a month, that's to cover food and drink for two of us, 6 cats, a dog and all household sundries. It's doable, just about :-)
Tonights dinner:
Birdseye Reggae Reggae Chicken Breast
Small Portion Oven Chips
4 Yorkshire Puds (my fella cooked!)
Bit of guinness sauce
Orange & Diet Lemonade to wash it all down. :0D
I'm still under my calorie limit for the day so may treat myself to some ice cream later on :-)Total Weight Loss Progress = -17lbs

Hi Watermelon88! I buy a lot of veg pre-frozen. I swear frozen peppers are cheaper than fresh, you can easily keep sweetcorn, spinnach, onions, I chop up courgettes and aubergines and freeze them too. You can chop up & freeze root ginger too, if you fancy making curry dishes from scratch.
I'm not quite up on when weigh in is, so completely missed it this week. I surprisingly lost 1.5lbs too, so that's a shame! Very pleased to be losing weight again after stagnating for so long though, and that's what matters most!0 -
-2 (1 day early but it will put me in line with the general weigh-in.)
I may have a small glass of wine tonite
Today has been busy so not had much time for eating. B - cereal, L - chicken sandwich, crisps and apple, D - gammon, egg and chips. Snacks - 1 banana, 1 tunnocks tea cake. and 1 glass of wine to be had shortly. (those snacks not sounding healthy at all though!)
No time for walk today but hopefully gym reopens next week.
Have a good weekend all.

:j Well done Slowly!! What fab news
Watermelon- I think the key to eating heathly and keeping costs down is to plan plan and then plan some more!! I agree with what people say about shopping around- Aldi/Lidl/local market etc and dont forget the SM value ranges- with fruit and veg they are still nutrious they just end up 'value range' alot of the time because they are mis-shapen! Poor mis-shapen fruit :rotfl:
Last weekend from our local market I got 20 satsuma's for £1 and 2 punnets of Stawberries for 60p each!!! Plus loads of potatos, carrotts, onions and cabbage for £3.50
I am going to have a stern talk to myself this weekend and get back on track!!!!O/S weight loss 2.5 /10lbs (11st 8.0- 08.02)0 -
What day is the weigh in day??? I'll do it the same day as everyone else :-)
I've made a meal plan that's basically the same thing for each meal every day (bar a roast on a sunday). It's just while I get used to planning ahead though, then I'll start adding variety etc.Total Weight Loss Progress = -17lbs

Net has been down for almost 13 hours  so I had to watch football on the television! Pleased we won though
Sadly I STS this week, but only have myself to blame. I've got a bit complacent this week thinking going to the gym is equalling out some poor eating. Stupid, now I have to really get down to business and make the final push. I'm sure () I can lose 1/2 a lb a week for the next 4, to reach target.
B - spicy fruity porridge
D - barbecue ribs, cream scone
T - tomato sandwich, banana
S - mango, pear, kiwi, melon
E - 40 mins gym, 15 mins work out this afternoon
Tomorrow I'm out at a convention all day with a ploughmans for lunch so will just have salad and take a slice of ham. No bread!
Nitey nite0 -
