    Morning all :)

Agree with you lauzt. I'm losing average 1/2lb a week and still enjoy treats, meals out etc., so certainly don't feel deprived. Points & colours cost a fortune, I'd rather do it the OS way and save my money for the new clothes I'll need ;)

B - banana mashed into lf Greek yogurt
D - Chicken soup, rest of yesterday's veg omelette
    T - 3 crackerbread, 1xvegemite, 1xprawn, 1xmarmalade
Snacks - melon, grapes, nectarine, apple
Exercise - 3/4 hour general plus 5 mins here and there through the day. Really need to lose a bit of tum so concentrating on that atm

Have a super sunny day :)

FairyPrincess - I am now within my healthy BMI range but just trying to lose the tummy fat (have a bit more of it than you though!). I htink you ahve the right idea with the smaller portions and eating more mindfully. Even if you don't have a dining table you can sit with OH on the sofa with food on your lap WITHOUT tv on and sit and chat while you eat. The website you are using sounds a bit rubbish, I use MyFitnessPal (well, when I can be bothered!), which allows me to change calorie goals for weight loss at different rates and more importantly, allows me to input my exercise... when I go for a run/swim/walk I put in how many minutes I did it for and it tells me how many calories I have used and takes that off my daily goal. I used about 500 this morning with a 5 mile jog/walk and will use up about 500 more this evening for my swimming session. To compensate for that I have eaten a lot more (cooked breakfast!) today then I normally would.

It is very hard losing weight when you only have a little to go, mostly because no one is very supportive! I have half a stone to go and everyone says I look fine, which is true (with clothes on!) but my goal is my goal, I am not going to give up now when I am nealry there. I still see wobbly bits that have to go!
More importantly, I know I will gain a bit when I get older and need to allow for that menopausal half a stone gain to still be a healthy weight.

Stick with us, we're all at different stages in our weight loss and have different ideas and tips to share. :D

    Food today:
    b - special k + skim milk + blueberries - 149 cals
l - cheese sandwich on granary bread, slice of cucumber, 4 cherry tomatoes and 3 strawberries - 374 cals
    d - 1 massive chicken fajita - 492 cals
    Total: 1,015 calories.

I'm getting so stressed about things that I'm really losing my appetite. I'm struggling to get to the 1,200 calories I really should be eating every day. Any tips ladies? I literally have to force myself to eat all of my tea, and even then it's beginning to be a struggle :(

I'm afraid I don't do exercise as such and not very au fait with 'spot reduction' so not much help but have been advised by one of my class physios...

Breathing exercises - can be done standing or sitting. Take a breath in and as you exhale pull the tummy in as far as you can and hold for no more that 5 seconds. Repeat as often as you can throughout the day. It helps train the tum to tighten the muscles by themselves. I find this quite difficult to do as I want to clench my b*m muscles at the same time ;):o

Any twisting from the waist exercise, it also helps reduce the waistline. Apparently it's almost impossible to reduce just one area as other muscles are involved in any exercise. The Twist is ideal!

I'm only quoting what has been suggested to me, I'm sure someone who does regular exercise will be able to suggest more than me. hth
  • I STS .......again!

I really don't know why but I seem to be seriously lacking in willpower lately. I am really good for 4, 5 or 6 days then always have a bad day to spoil all my hard work. I am not going to give up trying though!

Good luck to everyone with the weigh ins!
