Change of dinner plan for me tonight, red lentil and cabbage soup, bubble and squeak (made with HG potatoes, carrots and kale and fried in oil) with 1 tbsp HM baked beans, followed by HM yogurt with 1 tsp honey.
Snacks, picked quite a few bits of HM granola as it cooled.
Still, not a bad day I think. DH noticed that I am losing the bloat and the "carb face", a roundness I get when I eat too many refined carbs. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Hello All,
Had a lovely weekend, just winding down now with a cup of tea and Downton.
Had a lovely dinner last night, decided to choose the thing I most wanted on the menu, rather than the healthiest option: moules mariniere. They were yummy but did make me feel a bit iffy overnight. This is the second time it's happened which makes me sad as I love them.:(
Today we should have been going for a walk up Boxhill but car trouble meant we did not get further than the local park. Next week I am going to try and focus on upping my exercise.
Done OK with food today though:
B: 2 slices of Bergen toast with jam, 1/2 grapefruit
L: roast beef, lots of veggiesegg mayo and bacon roll, yoghurt
S: 2 Jaffa cakes
My other half opened up the chocolates, I was very restrained and only had two for a taste. They were very sweet so I actually didn't want to have any more. :A
Hope you enjoy the start of a new week. xxJoint account: £23,949/£25,000

Well done to all the losers, I'm an STS again this week, but it's better than gaining I suppose.
I've had another 2 sessions at the gym this week. I went after work on Thursday for just over an hour, before going shopping, then OH and I went for 2 hours this afternoon. When we went to the gym last Sunday, I managed to jog on the treadmill for a couple of minutes, instead of just walking fast, but I'm still a bit nervous about running in case I lose my balance, lol!
Not had the best week food-wise, so I really must do better next week!Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

Savesummore, I went to St Ives for the first time last year and loved it, dread to think how much weight I put on when I was there, I seemed to eat my body weight in Cornish pasties:p
Been a thoroughly miserable day here, horrid weather and made me realise I do need to get winter bits ASAP. Was still bare-legged last week. Had a bit of a shocker at work too. Fighting the urge to feed the emotions with the contents of the fridge so managed to do an exercise video instead which has helped with some of the adrenaline. More work to do tonight too - and job hunting, which says it all really.
Today's food has been:
B: bowl of Cheerios, banana
L: Chicken salad sandwich and pink ladychicken and chorizo risotto with roast tomatoes and salad. In the slow cooker too so, bonus, it will be ready in another two hours without me lifting a finger
cup of coffee this morning and then guzzling the water
E: 8000 steps and a 40 mins dance fit video. It's either all or nothing for me where exercise is concerned
Stay warm and dry this evening xxJoint account: £23,949/£25,000
