Well done Fuddle! Great start to the year :)

Definitely came under target yesterday. Breakfast this morning was a bowl of fruit and fibre with Soya milk. I weighed out the suggested 30g serving and decided I need 50g as a breakfast or I will just starve!
Have some chicken left over from dinner yesterday which I will have in a tortilla with salad for lunch. Dinner will be salmon fillet with new potatoes and (frozen) chargrilled veg. Am rather worried DH won't accept a tiny fillet of salmon as his dinner, but I have some gammon cooked so that will do as back up. (He is rather carnivorous!)

What can I do with the salmon to make it edible? I am not keen on fish!

Simplest way to cook salmon - wrap it in foil with lemon wedge and sone herbs and bake in the oven for about 20 mins. It steams inside the package and comes oyt very tender. We also like it cooked like that with ginger, lime, chillies and soy, serve with brown rice and steamed veggies.
Back to logging for me today, been pretty restrained over Christmas and not gained any weight, so feeling pleased with myself.
    Today:
breakfast: fruit corner, grapes, Orange juice
    Lunch: chicken sandwich, apple, satsumas
Dinner: 2 sausages, mash, peas, sprouts, bisto gravy

Hi, is it too late for me to join in this?

    I'm horrified to discover I'm 9st 9lbs which is the heaviest I've been since I was 17 (I'm now 62!)

My target is to lose 14lbs which I think will probably be about right - I was 8 stone for years but had to constantly diet to keep my weight there and anyway I don't think skinny will be a good look at my age :D

Edited to add: I also recently had a health check and was told a) I was overweight b) I had to lose 3" from my waist and c) I had to cut down on alcohol :D

  • I've weighed this morning and my starting weight is 10st 4lbs, the heaviest I've ever been :(. Still, by addressing it now, I won't get any heavier :).

I've already recorded my intention to lose 7lbs, so my weight by the end of this challenge will be 9st 11lbs or less :p and I will look like this :rotfl:

The Goose - never too late to join, but the sooner the better of course ;) I'll add you to the list.

The Dragon - New challenge 'starts' 6th Jan but feel free to declare a loss that day if you have already started. Most people have already declared a target and may well WI Friday with a loss.

Chicken wrap for lunch was lovely, but...
Made rice crispie squares. Low fat but not low sugar, so shouldn't really have had two :o

Littlemoog - thanks for that. I do a similar thing with haddock so I guess that would work fine, have soy sauce chillies etc...
