Hello is it to late to join in please. Ive done the usual lost the weight only to relax & pile it all & more back on only to tell myself it wasn't going to happen again & again. This time Im over 50 I feel its now or never its got to go & got to stay gone! So far this year has been AF & to start with I was loosing weight but a developing sweet tooth has seen the end to that! Im not sure about setting a target weight Im to old for wanting a bikini body but would love to be able to fasten my winter coat!! Ive jumped on the scales today & tried best of three/standing on one leg/leaning against the wall but whatever I do the reading is 14.1 so deep breath & aim to drop a 1lb a week...In true frugal spirit Im now off to dig out the exercise DVDs & long forgotten Wii!!0

I knew we were going out for a meal tonight so I planned to eat very little during the day then have a healthyish meal out....
all good intentions out the window, ate like a pig but enjoyed it
Too ashamed to post food diary:o
In fairness I feel if I am too strict with myself I end up falling off the wagon altogether. I'm hoping I can manage the odd day like today then get right back to it the day after. Here's hoping0 -

I've been exactly the same for about 20 years, and this time it is definitely staying off, I'm getting too old to be unhappy with my weight, lol! I've been losing weight since last May, and it's coming off a lot slower than in previous attempts, but I feel more confident than ever that I will not put it back on, as I've educated myself better this time, and once I'm down to where I want to be I will keep a check on my weight and cut back if I put on a pound, rather than waiting until it's 2-3 stone of extra weight. Good luck!islandhoppa wrote: »I knew we were going out for a meal tonight so I planned to eat very little during the day then have a healthyish meal out....

I know what you mean. I need to allow myself to eat what I want, and have a 'cheat day' now and then, as if I feel deprived I won't stick to it, but as long you get back to it the next day, instead of giving up, you'll get there.
I've had a pretty good week, being under my calorie goal every day except Monday, when I went over by only 40 calories, and have done quite a bit of exercise. Went shopping with OH today, and we weakened and bought one of those malteser bunnies each, 156 calories in those things ! He tried to get some hot cross buns as 'it's easter', lol, but I put my foot down and said not yet, although I'm sure we will have at least one pack at some point!
Pleased to report another 1lb lost this week!Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs
