daisiegg don't stress too much, you've eaten very little so far today, so you can enjoy your meal out :)

and please don't eat so little you begin to feel ill, it will just make you feel disheartened!

I agree,I went to visit my brother in France acouple of weeks ago and for two days ate what was put in front of me.also had a decent slurp of the local vino.I only get to see him maybe once a year so I certainly wasn't going to spoil it by not eating.a couple of days lapse can sometimes do you good mentally as well as you can climb back on the wagon easier knowing you aren't perfect and are allowed to slip now and again. You go out and have a great time then back to normal the next day :):)simples :):)xx

I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
Had a lovely dinner, but still feel like i could snack all evening. I am wondering if it's my time of the month. Grrrr, i hope not, as i want to have lost some lbs when i weigh in at the weekend!

Anyway, to curb the snack attack, i have made some porridge with a sprinkle of sugar, a teaspoon on PB and a teaspoon of jam.
not exactly low cal/fat, but filling enough to (hopefully!) not snack all evening!

Are there any technical issues with the posts being so high?

If not, I'd say wait until this challenge is done and dusted...maybe the challenge starting in the new year would be a good place to start anew?

Knit Witch - have you kept the challenge totals throughout the year? It would be really interesting in December to see how much this thread has lost in the whole of 2013!

    I have done - yes!
    Must use my stash up!

Looks like there's a few of us struggling this week, I'm certainly not expecting a loss in Friday :o

Tried to get back yo it after a weekend of too much cheese and wine but I've felt pretty rubbish (sore throat, achy etc) for a few days so it's been loads of carbs
It's OHs birthday tomorrow and a weekend a away so it's not looking good :o

    Today has been;
2 x wm seeded toast, marmite and a slice of ham on each
    Chicken satay sticks 200 cals
    Thai ready meal. 400 cals
Breaded fish, Hm pot wedges and sprouts. Square of chocolate.

Not as bad as yesterday I suppose.

    Na night.

Dieting also gone out the window here this weeks thanks to waterworks infection and resulting antibiotics making me feel grotty!

Hope to get back to it tomorrow.

Come on chums you can do it one day at a time and forget the scales. I think they are too depressing.I have a firend who seems to weigh herself everyday in the hope of it magically dissapearing overnight which is daft really as it didn't go on overnight. So when you feel the urge to eat ,clean your teeth or go for a walk and do something that will distract you .

I know If I sit down for a cuppa I will feel 'cheated ' if I didn't nibble a biscuit or have a 'dunk' now I have a cuppa 'on the go' while I'm doing something else and my 'dunking days ' are gone :):):)
    Onwards and upwards chums.

This 'it didn't go on overnight' thing doesn't work for me - because it does go on really, really quickly for me! If I am eating whatever I like I can gain 4lbs or more in a week. I can't lose 4lbs in a week though :(

As I read this I thought you were telling us you had a rolls royce :rotfl:a paint roller, what a disappointment :)

I wish Ellie, been helping DB out past couple of days he has a fiesta for work and a little sporty merc for fun – the fiesta needed to go to the garage not far from me and he suggested that I drive the merc to my place so that he could pick it up after taking the poorly fiesta to the garage. But never having driven such a high spec car before, I chickened out and drove the fiesta :rotfl:

I too have a full length mirror and there really is no room to avoid it so I now regularly stand starkers in front of it and do a salsa shimmy - observing the wobble - it does keep me focussed on trying to lose :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh dear, sounds like a few of you are struggling and sounding a bit gloomy :grouphug: – blame it on the weather and the imminent full moon, you’ll be feeling better next week.

Me I’m feeling quite chirpy and still gaily ticking things off my “to do” list. More painting to be done today so must crack on. Having a day off from it tomorrow as it’s my birthday, shaking one of my pressies it sounds like chocolate and unfortunately I don’t have a wardrobe so I will just have to eat them instead ;)

    Meals today =
    B – Porridge & stewed apples
    L – Frittata
D – Lasagne, green beans, leeks.

Hope you all have a good day :)
    Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
    July - Grocery spends = £119.54
    Aug - Grocery spends = £20.63

Hope you enjoyed your meal last night daisiegg.

I also think it goes on really quickly...if I have a meal out and a couple of naughty treats in a week, I can easily put on 3 lbs...last summer I went away for 4 days and put on 4 lbs, and I really didn't think I'd overeaten, just had what normal people eat!

I've also noticed though, that if I get back to the diet the following week some of it will come off again, almost like the fat hasn't time to settle in :)

I guess if we have more good days than bad we're doing well...
though it's not a nice thought that we'll have to eat like this for life!
Good luck for tomorrow's weigh in!
