Merlin Annual standard pass half price

Options
Merlin Annual standard pass half price. Just picked up 3 passes from Madame Tussards in London for £234 (£78 each). Was told by staff this offer ends in 2 weeks time.

I called Merlin before I went and they said you can goto any attraction and get the standard pass for half price but you need to visit the attraction as they have to take your picture. The offer is only on the standard annual pass.

Suggest you call merlin before you make a visit and also make sure the attraction is open.

Good luck

Do you actually have to have your picture taken there and then, or can you be given the pass and not activate it and have the pic taken on your first visit (if that makes sense?).

For example, I have 2 children, but am thinking I could go to London whilst they are at school and pick up the passes, but obviously they aren't going to be with me for pictures. I just don't want to drag them to London on the train which would cost money (I get free travel but they don't) to buy the passes, when I don't actually want to use them yet. I believe if you buy online you're sent something that then activates the card the first time you properly visit an attraction.
  • I'm not sure, I would guess you would need the person there as they give you a card with all of your details and picture.

I would suggest any queries you have about this you should call Merlin on 08444 77 44 44 between 9am and 5pm.
  • or get them with tesco rewards.
    I do this every year
I say "THANKS" to posts that make me smile - Oh and really good glitches.:j

we have bought these passes for the last two years. You can buy them and advise which location you want to collect at and when you collect them, the photos are taken as each one is collected.
There is usually a time frame in which to collect them (eg 4 weeks from purchase). We collected our last lot from Chessington rather than travel into London.

Have done this previously, but you can't take advantage of the half price offer, plus I don't have enough tesco points at the moment anyway.

Two years ago this deal included the vouchers. I would have got those. As it is, we have five months left on our old passes anyway, so have to erm...pass.
    :wall:
  • Does anyone know if they ever do the premium passes on offer?

We want the pass primarily for legoland and it says you cant go before 2pm in august which would be a pain.

Also paying for parking would add up i guess??
