These guys are beyond useless. I've just received another email from them apologising for the packaging, despite telling them on numerous occasions that both the packaging and courier were bob on.
I honestly think they just hit auto reply and just send anything that might be the right answerhelpful tips

Thanks for the reply. I do use mp for all my supps. I like their promilk but the maximilk was about £4 cheaper from amazon than the promilk is from mp (£8.32 as opposed to ~£12. The maximilk are £20 for 8 direct from maximuscle, which is lunacy)
MP are generally top dollar though, hurricane is much nicer than cyclonehelpful tips

Don't forget to mention to them that you consider that tampering with sealed containers of food is an extremely serious issue and that unless you receive a satisfactory explanation from them then you will have no option but to pass the complaint on to both Trading standards and the environmental health department of your local council.0 -
will do.
I'm going to draft a letter later, i'll post it up for perusal before posting

here's the letter i have drafted. please feel free to critique it.To whom it may concern,
I made an order on your website on 27th December 2011 for a case of Maximuscle Maxi-Milk 8 x 330ml Strawberry drinks, which I took receipt of on 29th December 2011.
Upon opening the parcel, I noticed that the plastic wrapping around the drinks had a small knick in it. I took the two bottles out of the case where the knick in the plastic was, to find that they were both empty. I did suspect straight away that maybe they had leaked in transit, but both the case they came in, and the Amazon packaging, were both bone dry and showing no signs of moisture damage that one would suspect from leaked bottles. I then opened the two bottles to discover that the foil lids underneath that are there to keep the drink from spoiling had been pulled back for the drink to be consumed. The foil lids are not easily removed and the fashion in which they were found suggests that they were not opened by accident but by a person.
I contacted your customer services by phone and mentioned this. The adviser did eventually agree to send a replacement case out to me but wanted the original case sending back, which would cost me around £4-5 to do. I appreciate I’d get a refund for this, but it’s still the inconvenience of having to go to the post office on my lunch break to post these back.
After the call to customer services, I received an email from the adviser telling me what she had done for me and that the drinks would be dispatched the next day by first class delivery. I emailed back with a further complaint about the fact that I had been sent food items that had been consumed by a third party in your warehouse. I received an email back apologising for the courier, which were absolutely not at fault. I made this point in a reply, along with the point that the packaging was untouched and unopened. I received another email reply apologising for the state of the packaging.
Do your customer support representatives actually read emails or do they look for buzzwords and reply on the basis of them alone?
I sent yet another email to repeat that neither the courier nor the packaging were at fault. I made this point on numerous occasions in that last email in the hope that the point might come across that this was a problem that occurred prior to shipment. The final reply I received just felt like I had been fobbed off.
The main crux of my complaint is that Amazon have delivered food products that have clearly been tampered with. One of the bottles has a layer of mould around the mouth of the bottle. As a masters student of biology & infectious disease, I know all to well the wide range of potential pathogens I have sat in my house on the mouth of these two bottles that were released into the atmosphere when they were opened. God only knows what the drinker/drinkers are carrying.
Given the nature of my study, I consider the tampering of sealed containers of food an extremely serious issue and will have no choice but to forward this complaint to the trading standards and environmental health departments of my local authority (Stockport council) should I not receive a suitable explanation for why this has happened.
I await your reply.
Sincerely yours,helpful tips

I would certainly leave out the line "God only knows what the drinker/drinkers are carrying" - it's not relevant, and may be viewed as a personal attack on a colleague, so would leave it out.
Hope that helps, otherwise a pretty good letter - perhaps a tad dramatic towards the end, but that's your prerogative- but may be worth cutting out.

Sounds like something from a poorly written horror story
Oh, and if you took any photos (would always recommend doing this!) be sure to include them.
ps - love your signature - may have to borrow it! (Mainly as I can never remember to spell definitely! - thanks goodness for spell check!)

After numerous problems with amazon, I asked to speak with the complaints department to be told amazon do not have a complaints department, nor handle any form of complaints as they do not need to!0
