Vodafone Upgrade deal 600mins unlimited texts 500mb Internet 12mth **£10.25 a month**

I rang up Vodafone this morning to downgrade my priceplan as i currently pay £52 a month. I have an Iphone 4 and have had it for 16 months on an 18month contract (meaning i was eligible for an upgrade). As i am going to wait until the Iphone 5 is released (Xmas 2012) i decided to take a sim only deal (meaning you keep your original handest and phone number, you just get a new price plan and are tied into another 12 month contract.

I currently get for £52 - 1200 mins, Unlimited text, 1GB Internet

From midnight tonight for £10.25 im going to get 600 mins, Unlimited texts and 500mb Internet.

Needless to say my partner who's contract expires in March also took the deal, as its normally £21.

They told me the offer started on Tuesday and is only Valid this week...

my contract with vodafone is 2 years, and ends april/beg of may time.

any idea how early you can upgrade/renew on a 2 year contract, is it 2months earlier same as yours?

phoned them about 2 contracts i have with them - both iphone sim only, both out of contract. got both the £20 /mth and the £25/ mth contracts brought down to £10.25 each, though the first guy i spoke to denied it, and they only acknowledged its existence after i asked for my PAC code!

so now saving £25/ month.

ps. it really really is cheaper to get the iphone direct from apple at launch and go sim only - i have 2 4s's from day of launch, got £280 for each of my 4's that i sold, so with this deal, a 4s is costing me 500-280=220 , + 10.25 x 12 = 123, grand total £333 for a 4s and 12 month contract! beat that!

02 do this also. I got this in March while I was waiting on the Iphone 4s coming out. Its some sort of 'Holding contract' that rolls over from month to month and doesn't affect your ability to upgrade at any time

Sounds like a bargain, I am due for an upgrade in march also, but I don't want to pay my current one and the new one?

Also in the situation with an iphone 4 and waiting for the 5 rather than the 4s

Just rang - it is true, I could've gone on it straight away. That is a real good bargain in my opinion. Says only available on phone, not on internet/stores. Pity there's no quidco/TCB as well! Says the offer finishes in the new year.

Worth double checking the unlimited texts bit...on their website the same offer is £17.08 but for 600 minutes, 3000 texts (not unlimited), 500mb and 750mb BT openzone.

it is not a holding contract- it is a binding 12 month contract.
ALL 12 months are 1/2 price at £10.25 - ie this is the deal on the website that is advertised at £20.50. presumably after 12 months it reverts to full price, but by then you are oput of contract and can renegotiate.
