On my Vodafone account it says £20.50 a month, does everyone else's say the same? Just wondering when/how it will show the new discounted amount?

If its anything like mine (which is a totally different deal), it will charge at the full price but will discount 50% off the bill each month, for 12 months.

hi all - i had signed up to this deal last friday with vodafone - i checked with the girl that i was paying £10.25 per month as its half price and was assured i was. today i got an email saying thankyou for staying with us and that i'm paying £20.50 per month. i presumed it was just a mistake so phoned up to check and the guy said it wasnt applied to my account! i told him when i had taken it out and he says hes found the call and will get someone to listen to it - then they'll call me back to say if i can get it at £10.25 pm. might be useful to others to check.

    Ditto !

    Corrected quickly.

I then spent 20 minutes waiting to talk to a managr, for the sole purpose of voda sending me an email confirmation of my new deal (in case it dissapears again). Advisors dont have email apparently.

    - Edit -

lol, this is what I received. Suppose that will do.

My online account is showing as £20.50 per month, however i had problems getting my internet after switching from PAYG,had to phone them and whilst on the phone the advisor confirmed I was getting the £10.25 deal.
also had to take my PAYG phone into the Vodafone shop to get the settings adjusted, took the girl a wee while to get me online, but all working a treat now, thanks again OP.

I think there's some mild overreaction here, everyones upgrade email will show as £20.50/mth, its a retrospective 50% discount thats applied at bill date which won't be shown on your email.

Just take a note of the date and time you rang up, keep it safe, and check it when you get your first bill, if there's an error, ring them up and give them the details, it'll be fine, there, there now :D

Hi all, does anyone think I stand a chance at getting this deal now?

My contract is up for renewal, and I'd really like to keep to my current budget (been paying £10.50 for the last 2 years, but that didn't include ANY data), but move up to a smartphone, so I can check emails, maybe surf a bit etc when I'm out n about.

    Any chance at all?
I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say. :)

You could try they can only say no. If they do say no try Tesco, I pay £12.50 for my children who get 500 minutes, 5000 text and 1GB of downloads a month. I was going to move to Tesco until Vodafone offered me the £10.25 deal. Good luck x

I reckon you could get it. Give it a go. Worst that will happen is they'll say no. They definitely still offered it a few days after it had finished.
