In December I will mostly be sorting through the items we moved last weekend & finding the right place for them to live. Three weeks to go :eek:I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
I always seem to find December difficult on the decluttering front, as more stuff seems to come in rather than go out at Christmas.
Still made a small start, 2 pairs of knickers that seem to be grey instead of white! In the bin they have gone.Early retired - 18th December 2014

a few things in today, off the top of my head, 4 new teaspoons, 4 new cereal bowls, a french press and some coffee, a new dog bowl, dog treats and wormer (will get used tonight).
Out:
7 bits of cultery from an old set.
3 bowls from an old set.
wooden spoon, old spatula, 4 old medicine spoons
Carrier bag of rubbish from the car
4 pairs of socks
3 pairs of boxers, 6 pairs of knickers
1 pj set, 1 nightie
half used lucozade tablets
3 old batteres
1/2 babygym (saved it for Evelyn, put new batteries in but the arch no longer plays music or lights up, throwing arch, keeping the mat)
Some random loose tat, receipts etc chucked out of bedside cabinet.
Xbox given to my brother as we didnt use it
3 OOD hersheys butter cups thrown
Book aside to give back to friend that ill never get chance to read
DH wants to get rid of his desk as he doesnt use it much so thats 4 drawers we need to go through, alot will be junk but we will have so much space when its gone as its a massive 1.5metre wide office desk.
Doing well but still feel there is loads to do!! the Desk needs starting tonight though i have a strong urge to clear out under the sink. I did it a few months back but feel i'd be more ruthless now

We always try to have a big clear out in Nov/Dec to prepare for xmas and the new year. So far we have been doing quite well and through a car boot, freecycle, amazon and charity shops have shifted quite a lot. I have also returned a number of things I had borrowed from friends and the house is looking much much better.
Now we need to think about the loft but I think that should wait until the springTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Busy working on a project for a Christmas present today so not much decluttering happened. Hubby did finish reading a book and has given me that for the charity shop though.
3. Book hubby finished reading - charity shop bag

Granddaughter arrived tonight as usual so not much will get done tomorrow either. Unless I get her to 'help' - (she's 2 on the 27th) but I suspect she may hinder more than help!Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

Evening all, Haven't been around for a few days haven't been too good and had more dramas with the house we are moving into, The current occupants have decided to delay there move out again !!!! So this means my DH will be leaving me at the end of jan and that me and little miss will be packing up the house and following up at the end of feb !! So ive organised my mum and dad to come down and give me a hand with the baby and the dog so he doesn't have to drive down here and he can stay in work.
Miss and the pooch can stay with nanny and grandad and I shall jump the train up and meet him there and they can follow on a day or 2 later when the removals have been and dropped off our stuff.
Well looks as if you have all been clearing out loads !! well done to you all
I have been trying to clear out lots but have hit a wall atm, Gonna get back on it tomorrow and back on the buy and sell sites and try and make some cash on the bits that are good enough to sell !!0 -
Today was going to be the beginning of finishing off half completed tasks so that I end up with a sorted bookroom/office. I tried, but the only way to get things together for a task was to tidy the desk! Done! So that's a huge encouragement - now I have a place to work, a list of tasks and odds and ends of papers brought together. No excuse not to get at least 3 tasks sorted this morning.0
