Did declutter a few leaves from the garden, brown bin nearly full...

But my day was occupied helping a friend get rid of his clutter!

I told him about there being one of those Cash for Clothes branches near us (Cashinthecloset) and he appeared with 3 rusty, old, suitcases full of clothes.

Went there, he made £9.37!!! They didn't accept the suitcases or bedding and duvets and one dirty, mouldy coat, so we went to the tip.

On the way to the tip, popped into home to collect a few items destined for the tip-
    • one broken lawnmower,
    • drill,
    • and a torch for the electronics section,
    • and a useless, blunt, grass edge trimmer scissor thing, for scrap metal.
They weren't doing anything stood outside the house, so off they went along with the old suitcases and duvet/towels.

    So there.
Chuck it out... No, wait, we can fix it. No, it's useful. Aww, it's too good to throw away. Keep it as a memory. Put it to one side, I'll ebay it. No, it'll come in handy one day. No, don't throw it, if you ____, then you can use it as a _____. Don't put it in the bin, the tip has a special section for those.

What a lovely friend you are !

I sold a load of clothes to one of those companies - I got shy of £30...every penny counts - they were collected from my home, weighed and I was paid on the spot - sadly they didn't take bedline or towels either but did take soft toys, bags and belts
  • Probably as behind as I am marmiterulesok !

Thanks.I haven't lost the will to declutter,I've just got lots of other things to be getting on with.

I seriously need to declutter my entire house - could be moving within the next month from a 3-bed house to a 2-bed flat! I have to confess to being a bit of a h-o-a-r-d-e-r

I like the way that some of you are listing what you've been slinging and would like to join in, if you don't mind ................

So far this morning, I've been finding various bits and pieces for the recycling bin (due to be collected tomorrow) and have filled up the 'food waste caddy' with last night's peelings.

Right now, I need to get off to the gym, but instead of going for a walk afterwards, I'll get back into the kitchen/dining room and continue decluttering. I'll keep a list and post on here later ................ maybe that will give me some much needed motivation :j.

Don't be daft it isn't a race! I've only hit 100 because I have been home all week, apart from food and emptying packed lunch boxes I will not be decluttering anything Tues, Weds and Thurs!
