Well done Becky - are you ready to start mine :rotfl:

Thanks donnajt, I have quite enjoyed sorting through my photo albums but wouldn't want to do anybody else's. Hopefully one day you will start with yours.
No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
    Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j
  • Had a little tidy up in the garden today, so lots of leaves swept up and in bags ready to go to the compost pile at the local tip.

Been doing quite a bit of sewing these past couple of days, making handles for the morsbags I intend to make for events on 21st and 24th. Has taken quite a long time because they are plain fabric handles and I've used an embroidery stitch pattern in a contrasting colour to pretty them up. Uses up some of my vast stash of cottons and some of the fabric, but takes about 10 mins to make 1 handle!

    105. Leaves swept up from garden, honeysuckle cut back
    106. Sorted out my dressmaking pin box: chucked out about a dozen that were broken/bent/blunt

Won't get anything done tomorrow as out all day, so will resume again Sunday!
Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

Morning! Been sparse as decluttered my womb of a baby Thursday morning! A gorgeous little girl we've named Evelyn :D she's a. Chunk and toobig for newborn and first size clothes so will be decluttering those via eBay soon!

15 things ending on eBay today too, got a foldable material dog crate I've used twice maybe since we got given it that s going tomorrow, gave my mil her bag of blankets Thursday too so they've finally gone :)

Have a feeling this weekend will set me back as the visitors descend with cards/gifts :o

    Hi declutterers,

Since my last post, some more decluttering :-

    Food ingredients/recipes x 12
    Composting x 2
    Recycling x 5
Bags from the garden x 2
    Broken oven part x 1
    Broken plastic from a drawer x 1
Surplus pegs from the washing line x 1
Watering can relocated to garden equipment area x 1
    Pruning job x 1
Garden seeds dried and stored x 1
    Difficult emails x 3

So 83 now. Some are regular more easier themes but the last three above represent some "mental clutter" that require difficult ongoing sorting.

Thanks for that - I manage a Sheltered Housing Complex and one of my ladies had 3 samurai swords, and 2 knives that she wanted to get rid of - so this litle old lady put them in her shopping trolley got the bus to the police station and handed them in and they were horrified and sent her to the local council office as they have the responisbility for clearing rubbish...they sent her home - the swords/knives are under her bed still...will take my blade to local dump/recycling unit and see if they will take them if so, I will get rid of Lyn's weaponry!
OMG yes, ASAP. I've wrapped mine in lots of layers for safety. I think the police do an amnesty from time to time but generally it seems the dump for metal recycling is our solution. :A

Thanks everyone for the tips for using up the bicarbonate of soda. My kitchen cupboard doors and around the extra fan are quite greasy (bleurgh) so will use it for that :)
