Decluttering 2012, this year, definitely ...

Welcome dannie
Everyone has been so busy already. The bit is firmly between the teeth
Just doing a stew that can bubble away for the rest of the day and realised the kitchen is almost unusuable. We're waiting for a plumber to pop back to sort something and everything is moved away from that area until that time. Space is already at a premium.
So as soon as the stew is cooking, the dishwasher can go on and I need to roll up my sleeves and critically look at everything that's out on the surface.

Good to see everyone on a declutter mission. :jmineallmine wrote: »22. Found a big bag of papers, so many had to burn them in the fire
Just keeping [STRIKE]swimming [/STRIKE]decluttering :j(2 tins, 2 jars!) (recycling)
24. UHT milk given to neighbour, as part of prepare for winter thread. Been sitting in the hallway for...2 weeks
25. Old cough medicine, bottle cleaned (recycled)
26. Plastic box packaging, will use it to put CS bits into (CS)
27. Magazine (recycling)
28. Old house phone (friend)
29. Garden ornament, broken
30. Necklace (charity)
31. Packaging, used to provide filling for bags donated to CS (CS)
32. Old scanner (friend)
Not counted:
2 x packaging. As 2 x items came in. Some faux leather ottomans from Argos to store bits in
1 x packaging. As for a new mat. It replaced a broken one but it's still an in, so the declutter out don't count, just balances out of 1 in, 1 out. Harsh but it's the only way to reach a life of less stuff.
OH is getting motivated too so that's really good.

Hello
Today I emptied a couple of half used bottles that have been sitting in the bathroom for ages (body lotion/butter) they had lost their nice smell. Bottles recycled.
have done a really big food shop so I reorganised the cupboard when I put it all away.
Tomorrow the plan is to sort out the paperwork that is gathering in the kitchen.
Have a lovely evening

Out today:-
CD sold on ebay - posted
Jiffy bag from stash - used for parcel
Pair of shoes, bought a couple of weeks ago, that are too tight across my toes - returned to shop for refund
2 tatty pairs of shoes - binned
Also, I took 4 pairs of sandals off the shoe rack in the hall, and put them in a tub in the bottom of my wardrobe, so now the shoes we will be wearing during the winter all fit on the rack and look much tidier.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

I'm listing more on eBay today and sorting and tidying. Our house almost looks like a completely different one, it's great when you can finally see the effects of decluttering!0
