Morning. Haven't posted here for ages. I've still been decluttering. Mainly applying the rule that if I buy new clothes then the exact same amount has to go. Recently I've actually made it double has to go and this has helped loads in decluttering shoes I just wouldn't/havent worn.

I've also been attacking my toileteries again. Using up bits and having a pamper.

But things are still not straight. I think I'll attack some bags of paperwork today. And blitz the kitchen in short bursts. Will aim to declutter 25 things too.

In the last 12 months we have decluttered thousands of pieces of clutter from our home. Just last week, hundreds more items were given to charity.

It's a rare thing for me to sell anything as i would rather give away what can be of use to tohers, while raising funds for charities i can not afford to give money to.

I tend to have massive purges where i want rid of massive amounts of clutter and now try to adhere to the one item in, many more out, rule.

I've just taken a very full car load to the tip and it's a big car too! Glad to see the back of the stuff!

Listing some more things on eBay and then going to go tackle some more decluttering :)

Gone off the boil a bit..... We had a new boiler fitted yesterday ( oops no pun intended lol) - it was so stressful, we haven't recovered yet. MY OH has asked that we have a rest for a couple of weeks before we tackle the loft again - I was glad to agree. I still have some bits to do in the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom ( although I have broken the back of them), so I can still potter around.

I feel your pain Godiva, we had a new boiler about 18 months ago, couldn't use my kitchen for almost two days and he was a great installer. But the afterwards bit is a nightmare.

Massive clean up this morning from yesterday's flooding. Enough washing for a small country!

    23 - toaster - bin
24 - mug, dropped and broken - bin
25 - recycling bag full of shredded paper - recycling

Suzeesu2000 - I have some sympathy with you and your appliances. I seem to be going through kettles like anything. Latest one lasted 1 day!

I sorted some paperwork. Finally found a home in the house for paperwork (a leather look ottoman from Argos.)

So target of decluttering 25 things:-
1- bag of paperwork (to shred)
    2- bag of magazines (charity)
    3- unloved picture (charity)
    4- hat (charity)
    5- sheet (charity)

    Not a bad start :A

  • Jeez I have no idea how that woman manages to accumulate so much stuff! I've just found about 300 free cd/dvds you get with the newspaper, none of them have been used once, into the charity shop bag. I have just redesigned my hallway as well, it is now minimalist and it looks so much bigger! Got a big bag of blank VHS tapes ready for the next tip trip. Reckon I will be doing another tip trip at the end of the week.
  • Well I've been back at work today and yesterday,so I haven't managed much.

16-18 three dvds to charity shop/sell.

19 one book to charity shop

I'm off work tomorrow though,so might manage to do a bit.

Everyone's doing really well, well done. I'm afraid I'm starting to slip. Not used to being at work all day!!!
I did get rid of the metal thigs from the hob (No.16, I think?) as OH got new ones about 3 months ago and they were just sitting on the kitchen worktop!!!

DD is off out with my Mum on Sat. and OH is working so I hope to get lots done esp. in DD's room!!!

Keep up the good work guys and I plan to get rid of more soon xx
