21 - food bank bag to food bank

Got new storage containers this morning so have washed and filled with dry foods and thrown all the manky old bits of bags and stuff away.

Hubby feeling really carp today poor old soul so, of course, under the kitchen sink has decided to produce an enormous puddle! Have a gallon of water on the floor currently being mopped up by a big bath sheet and I am NOT stressing about it......yet......:)
Also had a problem with Sainsburys delivery this morning, it's either feast or famine with problems isn't it?

Afternoon! Posted my 2 ebay sales today. Suitcase for Charity will be going tomorrow. Got 2 shelves being collected tonight, earned £10 selling them too :) Other than that, very little done, got a bit of crap out of the kitchen but nothing significant.

Got more items to list on FB and Ebay (maternity bits), i feel i can thin out my maternity wardrobe now we are 3 and a bit weeks from due date. Hopefully will earn some money off that at the same time to put to my debts :)

Wow, it's been months since I ventured on to here, must be May or June time I think. Nice to see everyone is still hard at it. I have been too, just not reporting it on here.

We must have had at least 4 carboot lots on ebay since I last posted (all sold), plus we managed to do a real carboot sale at the end of August and managed to sell quite a bit then.
Quite a few things been donated to the CS too, as well as a few bits given to friends.

Sold loads on Facebook including kids clothes, toys, books, household bits etc
Cleared out various parts of the house including the dreaded cupboard of doom (under the stairs), conservatory, garage etc.
Also got OH's brother's stuff moved out of the garage as he and his gf have now moved in together.

OH's Grandad is a true horder. He loves his old films and Elvis so has loads (and I mean LOADS) of stuff. OH gets frustrated with him (not in a nasty way, Grandad fully admits he'll never watch the stuff, just can't part with it)as, for example, he'll have the same film on video, dvd and a special boxset but won't part with the video even though he'll never watch it again. They have been storing OH's, his uncles, and his brothers old toys and stuff for years. Grandad has finally let us into the cupboard under the stairs, shed and hopefully soon the loft.

We've sorted and tidied and brought home stuff that is OH's to keep here in the loft (childhood memories of toys need to be kept for the time being!). We've also brought home anything that Nanna and Grandad don't want any more and have sold no end of stuff on ebay, facebook and at the car boot we did. All of the money has gone in their pot for the holiday fund (we hire a caravan at the coast each summer and take them with us, kids love it and we all have a great time). So far there's £60 from stuff that was just taking up space (they have a small house so need as much free space as poss) that they hadn't used/never used in ages.

Whilst it's fab helping them out, and seeing stuff that my OH played with as a child, it means we've been storing their stuff here whilst we sell it! Saying that, from what we've brought back we've sold most of it, just building up another carboot bundle for the next free listings weekend on ebay!

Will try to pop back on regularly to help with the mojo and get this house sorted out once and for all!! Doesnt help that we're in the middle of decorating the girls bedroom so the spare room is full to bursting grr

 Oh what a complete and utter day of carp

Flood under the kitchen sink, thank heavens I sorted and cleared it out already and put everything in the tidy plastic bins or all my sponges, dusters, brillo-pads etc would have been soaked.

Hubby having a really bad week, had to come off some of his meds due to the tests and now he can go back, but time off made him feel really not good :(

Kettle has wee'ed all over the counter - competing with the under sink leak and the toaster has thrown a hussy fit and won't work :(

    I'm hibernating :(

Have a nice evening groupies :)
