I squeezed a bit more out this afternoon:

    2 boxes to recycling
Pile of foamy packaging sheet stuff to fling
    Old telephones to recycling centre
    Magazine boxes to recycling
Top n tail bowl to church sale
Ugly crystal bottle stop to church sale

Might do a bit more later.

Bag of breastfeeding stuff onto freegle will count when I get a sensible response. So far it's "can I collect it three weeks on Tuesday and will you paint the sky purple for me". Bl@@dy hate freegle but what can you do...

    Hello joannasmum & snapping_crocodile

Well we have made progress here:

    19. Binbag of totally unusable, unrecyclable carp from DD's room flung into bin
    20. Huge bag of of old magazines, posters, paper etc into recycle bin
    21. Small bag of soft toys and a huge creepy looking doll to my Mum for my sis's little children (her grandchildren) to play with when they visit.
    22. Bag of clear glass to recycling bin in the high street.
    23. Mis-matching plastic container & lid, both well past their best, into the bin

I also have a couple of bags of clothes, scarves, gloves and shoes which need either washing or sorting before I take them to the CS. Will post as jettisoned when they have actually left the building.

euronorris the thread I was referring to was about the lady with the married 'friend' - would it work, or wouldn't it? I hope she has decluttered him by now

Tomorrow I hope to sort through the carp on the computer desk in the hall, which will then itself be pulled apart and got rid of - it's on its last legs and only held together with dust & dirt really :o Following that, but prob not tomorrow, the carpet will be taken up and binned, it's quite grim.

Thank you everyone for your encouragement :T

  • Hi all,

Seemed to go a bit AWOL in May. Don't think I got near my target of 100 things. However my mum is staying and being helpful in the Decluttering process. I'll aim for 100 this month. Have listed 44 things on eBay, six had bids on and lots have watchers. They don't end until Sunday so will count those when they've sold.
Over the last few days I have got rid of (ok some very small things)
    (1-8) 8 pairs of earrings
    (9-12) 4 necklaces
    (13-14) two bracelets
(15-20) stained baby clothes to charity shop rags
    (21) old broken watch, non repairable
    (22) half full bottle of dessert wine (looked and smelt like old urine :rotfl: didn't attempt a taste test)

Not too bad for a couple of days. Will have to keep looking back on here for some inspiration :)

Ah yes, I remember! I thought that was the one you were referring to but wanted to be sure. Yes, I hope she has too. But I doubt it.

I hope the pain clinic visit has been worthwhile.

Somedays are worse than others and I find it's difficult to get motivated. Its whilst I'm resting between chores that I get out the iPad to check this forum.

I've cleared all the newspapers ready for recycling and put all emptied :D bottles in the glass recycling box. Friends and family helped with the emptying, I can't take the credit for all those bottles!

    Morning!

I've decluttered one thing so far:

    24. flowers, going a bit brown & smelly - from vase to 'garden waste' recycle bin

My teenagers seem to be making lots of little pockets of mess so I'm spending time clearing up stuff I shouldn't have to, which is taking time away from my proper declutter. It's making me

    *sigh*

    Have a good day everyone.

eta: Dee2012 I hope your clinic visit was helpful; can you count de-cluttering pain?? It must be a positive, surely :) xx

I just cleaned my bedroom window, wow it looks like a different room!! Going to get a bit of decluttering done this afternoon. Can't really do eBay or too much as I am off on holiday next week.
