My sister and I used to be happily amused for hours playing with the buttons in my Mum's button box.I especially liked the pink ones with the poodle's head.

I loved looking through my mum's button box when I was little, I've now inherited it and a lot of the buttons bring back memories. There's also a buckle from a pair of burgundy shoes I had when I was about 5, I was heartbroken when I outgrew them, lol! I also have my own button box.

    So far this month:-

2 cd players from stack system - freecycle
    Record player - freecycle
Mini skirt, bought over 20 years ago and hardly worn, as I started putting on weight not long after buying it, and have never managed to quite slim down enough to wear it, now no longer suitable - CS
2 blouses which are never going to fit - CS
Fleece jumper (too tight) - CS
    2 t-shirts - CS
    2 cd singles - CS
    Vhs video - CS
9 pairs pants - rag bag
Baking tray - binned as it's seen better days and I've got about 6 others!

I've got a bid on 1 item on ebay, that's not good out of 46 listed items, but I've got a few more days to go, so hopefully I'll get some more bids before they end.

Dee2012, hope you are feeling a bit better today.

Last night I felt lonely and restless due to saying goodbye to OH who was travelling away for work for the next 2 weeks. Normally he is only away for a week.

The positive thing is that in a couple of hours I managed to sort our post which have been spread out on the sideboard in the hallway for months. The post either got filed away, shredded, recycled or put neatly in a pile. The hallway is looking so much better now. I also, sorted out the drawer in the sideboard in the kitchen, several old telephone catalogues and instruction leaftlets have been recycled. I also started to sort our bookshelf in the living room which have been annoying me for month since it has become a dumping ground. I shredded lots of paperwork. OH's office stuff was put into a neat pile and then taken to his office for him to sort out. Still more work needed on the bookshelf though. I am aiming to have the bookshelf sorted once OH returns home.

Good luck to you all with your decluttering.

From the kitchen to the bin: 8 assorted plastic implements/ takeaway boxes, a coconut, 5 out of date spices (2003, 2005) and a bag of loose tea which might have been alright if the bag hadn't come unsealed...

2 small pottery dishes to the charity shop bag, making another 17 items.

Right, after my blitz earlier in the thread things have changed. We move house in 3 weeks and have been de-cluttering BIG style. I think we must be nearly on first name terms now with the charity shop and the rubbish tip men.
3 CS trips this week alone.
2 tip trips today and another tomorrow, plus had one last Monday.

Only the loft to go now.

Have started packing and have a local removals firm coming for a quote next weekend so need to cut down as much as possible. I'm down to the being brutal stage now as I want a fresh start in our new home.

eta: Also put out 3 old broken exercise doodah's for the rag and bone man to collect.
