I'd say it does - because you've moved them to where they need to be and prevented 8 items sneaking into the house
Sorting is part of decluttering
Excellent news!!
Another black sack of toys/rubbish sorted this afternoon, about 10 items and sundry pieces of lego/duplo/marbles/tiny guns/sticklebricks/knex/mcdonalds toys. Ever feel like you might have wasted a lot of money?!:o

LOL, that's where I got my username from. Great book.0 -
i've just tackled a frog I've been putting off so I'm going to declutter some xmas choc as a reward
still attacking the study, 15mins a day is proving quite easy to psyche myself up for and it's such a short amount of time that it's hard to be too busy to spare 15 minutes.
progress in the study slow but steady, and perhaps more importantly becoming visible. Going to do at least 15 mins tonight with biggest loser on the laotop in the background. Two birds with one stone

Ditch 100 in January Challenge
Managed to get a few more things out today, we have a landlord inspection tomorrow so I've been trying to clear some space
This morning I started on 8/100,I have got rid of the following:
9. Boxes from christmas presents, loads of them!
10. Cleared the excess hangers out the wardrobe and put in car for CS tomorrow.
11. Sorted through kiddies clothes & listed some bundles on facebook site.
12. Took 2 parcels next door, they're finally back after their hols and these parcels have been in my hall!
13. Bin liner full of rubbish & 'stuff' from my bedroom.
So now I'm on 13/100And plenty more to go!

Make mine 12 now
Just got rid of 2 broken DVD boxesMummy to Lewis Born Aug 100 -
Found two more computer games to list on ebay
Found a jar of foreign coins in the mess - not sure if it is worth listing them on ebay or finding somewhere to donate them.
Also found an envelope of used stamps, someone I worked with used to collect them, but she left ages ago. Not sure what to do with these now.
Pulled a load of unused mugs out of one of the boxes, they are now in a bag for me to take to work tomorrow - we are always short of mugs so at least they will get used there:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -

Hello everyone - can I join in please?
Firstly, I'm sorry - I haven't read the whole thread. It's already 12 pages and though I really do want to read it and see what other people are up to, I have realised that less time on MSE = more time sorting out my house! I may save it for a cuppa break tomorrow
My other realisation is that I need my house to be free of clutter more than I need the money I will get from Ebaying any of my stuff. So........... new resolution, it is all going to the charity shop. We have *way* too much stuff so will also be trying not to spend much on "bargains" for a bit either!
Today I have got rid of a stupidly large collection of cardboard boxes from the kids' toys, which they insisted we kept. I hadn't realised that most of the boxes in the toy cupboard were empty!! So they're going out for the recycling on Friday, that will make me feel betterAlso a small bag of CS donations and a few things chucked away.
