Decluttering 2012, this year, definitely ...

Well have spent a glorious 2 hours:eek: sorting out bathroom - nobody can tell me I dont know how to live;) Up shot is I decluttered a load of lotions and potions ( mainly shampoo and conditioners) into fewer bottles - i.e filling up half bottles with same stuff with other half bottles - was tempted to mix up brands but thought this was a bridge too far although IMHO they all do the same stuff essentially :rotfl: I have poured away some stuff even though my waste not little voice was saying this was a bad thing but they really had that whiff 'too old' about them
I have recycled the empty bottles. Also half a carrier bag of unfinished OOD medicines to go back to pharmacy. For a healthy family we seem to have quite a lot - a small branch of B**ts! Also ditched some general rubbish - that little lot I am going to count as 2 :T
Also been decluttering some threads I subscribe to on here - some that haven't been active for a while and others I am really not reading - that way I will spend less time lurking and more time decluttering - well its a good theory:rotfl:Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

I dont even want to go under the stairs or attempt the junk in my son's bedroom... but as we want to buy our own house this year I have told everyone we wont be moving junk. Does anyone have any suggestions around where to start? Do you start with worst mess or the least mess... I'm leaning towards quick success so thinking least as then I will be encouraged to move to the next room! thoughts?
Also I know people who have a box (or two) for things to list on the likes of ebay, and try and list them all at once, or put on the likes of freeycle.
Good luck!May Grocery Challenge : 64.81 so far
