So, I appear to have taken on the task of emptying my Aunty and Uncles flat ready for rental. I have so far got rid of quite a bit. There is masses to go though as it has been used as a dumping ground (by all of us I'm ashamed to admit) for several years. So outs are: 1 bean bag and bag of beans, 1 CD tower, 1 high chair, 1 tv dvd combo, 1 shelf unit, 2 pairs of curtains, 1 scholl foot massaging unit jobby. 2 knives. All of which have sold. I have also got another item from my house to post today. Will do in a tick when I go out to deliver 2 facebook sales and collect another to deliver later. I will also take some more photos while I'm there.

We got rid of 2 recycling boxes full of recycling today! It's very rare for us to get rid of that much. I have delivered the 2 pairs of curtains and now have a beanbag and balls and bookcase to deliver in a little while. I went to collect the bean bag and gave my Uncle the cash from the curtains. He wouldn't take it! He said he needed to have a little think about the money for all of the stuff and said I should have it all as I was the one putting all the work in :D. I've got it in a jar in the cupboard and when I've managed to get everything cleared, I'll have a count up and see what there is. I will probably hand over the wodge of cash then and let them decide what to do with it. Or I may say split it 50/50. I'll chat to DH. I'm not doing it so that I can get the cash, I'm doing it because it needs to be done.

I have been AWOL for a few days, no action, but started the battle anew this morning. Chucked the kiddies out into the garden (not counting them!) and tidied round getting rid of

    15-16 broken buckets
    17-19 broken plant pots
    20-22 miscellaneous rubbish
    23 torn rotary airer cover
    24 two bags of prunings

Then I started inside on the DVDs. DS has watched his whole Thomas set so much they don't work anymore, so
    25-34 broken DVDs
    35-41 returned DVDs to FIL

So quite a productive morning I think.

    Happy flinging!

ETA also sorted fridge and freezer, gone samosas, bhajis, pakoras, ice cream, crisps, pizza all donated to in laws as they have the kids overnight tonight. I am dieting and won't ever eat these. Also ditched some very iffy cottage cheese and actimel drinks

    49/100. Ooh!

28-31 some paperbacks for the bookswap shelf at work

32 planted some seeds today...don't need the info on the packets so out with them !

    33. Empty cigarette lighter that I can't refill but had purely sentimental value. Why is it the most completely useless stuff that holds all the memories? Maybe it's just me. For some reason throwing that in the bin felt both heart-wrenching and a huge mental leap forward.

Now you all know how much of a loon I am :o

    The weekend's here! :j

Hopefully I can do a decent amount of decluttering. I haven't managed much so far :

    Blouse - bin
    Ring - bin
    Tights - bin
    Book - recycle
    Book - recycle
    Handbag - charity shop
    Skirt - charity shop

I'm actually only aiming for 26 things in March. I did very well in February, so 26 things would get my average up to 100 things ditched for each month. (Obviously I'd love to get rid of more)!

    Everyone's doing so well - congatulations! :T

    7/100 ditched in March

No, it's not just you, I keep the daftest of things too, the worst being a self addressed envelope of my late mum's, which she originally gave me with some used stamps for charity inside, last November was 10 years since she died and I only got rid of it a few months ago, although the stamps were long gone! It would be more understandable if that was all I had to remember her by, but I've also got greetings cards with her writing on, as well as lots of more worthwhile things of hers!

Another thing I've kept for years, is a dice that we used to use as a family when we played board games when I was little, it will probably never be used but I just don't want to get rid of it, it is only a tiny one though so it doesn't take up much room.

27 - eye cream finished and binned (only 2 more to use now, lol!)
    28 - newspapers - recycle
    29 - junk mail - recycle
30 - more used envelopes taken into work
    31 - ebay sale - posted
32 - box, bubble wrap and parcel paper used for ebay parcel

Todays decluttering happened in the garden. It's a beautiful day and we have filled 5 bags with garden rubbish. DH visited the recycling centre and took some of the bags, an old laundry bin and some cardboard. Still 3 bags to go. Got rid of some general household rubbish, it's bin day on Monday so will be on the look out for things to go.

    Have a lovely weekend.
