Everyone is doing really well - Well done everyone

    Ditch 100 in January 77/100

66 Bottle of wine - step daughter (for a treat)
67 Photo - framed and given back to mum
68-69 Pringles taken for family tea
    70 Book - Charity
    71-75 Little one's old pj's - charity collection bin
76 various empty bottles used up and recycled
    77 various papers to recycling

Feel as if done more over the last few days but struggling for numbers, feeling much better though as seeing a way through the clutter and carry on.

I haven't been on this new thread yet but I'm still working on my clutter as often as possible. I have thrown away some old laptop bags that have past their useful life and put some good but not for me bags on one side to ebay next free weekend. Removed a lot of old paperwork to recycling bin, sorted out the bedding cupboard and put flat pillow, bobbly sheets and faded quilt covers in bags for the charity shop rag bin. Swapped a dead mascara for a Clinique sample this week. Bought some new boots and chucked some wobbly ones in the shoe bank.

    Aims

Sort out wardrobes into seasons and chuck anything that doesn't fit/I won't wear either rag bin or charity shop ( ebay if it still has a label :o)

Throw away/recycle contents of utility room cupboards

Scan old photos and throw away the one's that are not essential to me.

Use all stationary I've hoarded before buying more.

  • Evening all, I hope all is well?
Currently by my front door is a shelf that was taken down in July (it has been propped up in the kitchen since then), a wooden display cabinet (also been propped up in the kitchen) a canvas print of a thistle- ugly as sin. 1 large sack full of clothing - all off to the cs tomorrow.
15 minutes a day every day is making a difference. Not out of the woods yet, but on the right path.

Well it's almost the end of January and I have managed to declutter...nothing! But I have 2 whole days off work so think I might be able to make a last minute dash and declutter 100 items quickly and easily (that's how much junk I have laying around the house!)

I had a major sort out of books yesterday and now have 4 piles - CS, Work, Amazon Trade In and Zapper. The CS and work books will be dropped off today and I'm on a quest to find some boxes at work to package up the other 2. I've never done anything like this before so I'm a bit nervous!:o

Got rid of some old shampoo bottles and hair related gubbins to Mr Binny Man so I can say the bathroom is sorted. :)

  • Good morning.

Well I managed to photograph and weigh 36 lots for eBay yesterday afternoon and I am now half way through listing them on Turbo Lister to hopefully go live tomorrow evening. Also started to fill a bag with old clothes not suitable for eBay to take to DS's school for a "Bag 2 School" event after half term.

Currently the bathroom fitters are decluttering the old bathroom into a skip and then the new bathroom out of the spare bedroom :j It's only been in there 4 months!!!! Oh well it stopped the in laws coming for Christmas! Will have to come up with a new excuse this year!!

Good luck everyone with whatever you are up to today. I'm off to continue on Turbo Lister xx

Also yesterday I binned yet another tatty pair of slippers, and a pair of trainers which had split across the soles.

Thank you. You have reminded me to get rid of an old pair of trainers I was keeping for the next time I go gorge walking! I am disabled ATM so not much hope of using them. Another thing flinged but need to check my how many,

    :)

Don't be nervous! As long as your books are in a reasonable condition they take them. I've had good experiences with Zapper, Amazon trade in and Music Magpie. The cheques sometimes take a while to come through but they do (and if they don't their customer services are very good). :) If anything go for a smaller box so the books don't have room to rattle around in and get damaged. Good luck box hunting!

I am finally making progress. Today I have attacked the bedroom and been ruthless. Cleared out under the bed:eek:, which is where I usually hide everything.
    So today I have;
Cleaned bedroom windows ( only on inside though)
    Washed bedding
    Turned mattress
Pulled out, hovered behind and re-arranged furniture
    Decluttered windowsills
    Tidied away DVDs
Finished sorting the last of the paperwork into piles of recycle/ burn/file
    Tidied away shoes/boots
    Tidied away uni work
Packaged up ebay sales ready to post
Filled a binbag full of shoes that have been outgrown by kids:o, will send these to school for clothes collection
Found 4 packs of seeds to send to school for planting project
Put old tv outside for scrap collection
Threw away a binbag full of random rubbish.

Having a brew then gonna vacuum the cobwebs from the ceiling and put the stuff for the tip run in the garage ready for the weekend.
I think I am gonna tackle this a room at a time. I am easily distracted.:)

oops, lost my way slightly and only got to 15/100 on this month's declutter challenge. Two days left - can I make 100?

Got off to a good start today

    16. pile of receipts off the kitchen table - shredded and recycled
17-24 Gold items sent off to sell
25 DH's old iphone posted off for recycling (and hopefully get some cash)

    so that makes 25/100

Off to do the next phase of the bedroom (yes, it's such a tip I've had to break it down into phases:o)

    will update again later
    xx
