1. Do not borrow from small saving pots - Does borrowing £3 out of my 7yr olds wallet count so i could buy a bacon sandwich :rotfl: I have repaid it today and he is no wiser
I think you've got away with it if it was repaid the same day and it was for such an essential spend
2. Check for surveys on a daily basis. Fail again...
I will check out Swagbucks (which I've heard of) plus Shoppix and Receipt Hog (which I haven't) tomorrow, so thanks for that.
3. Lose 3.5lbs per month Tick
You are precisely the example we need on this thread!
4. Step target of 60,000 Yesterday I did 5,283 as i worked from home so not much ruuning around so I am 23.6% of the way there need to get a few more in.
5. Have a 12 hour eating window Yep only 10hours:D
6. In bed and lights out by 11pm and up by 7.15 on weekdays Tickout at 10.40 and up at 6 as i had a breakfast meeting!
7. Deal with all post and letters from school on the day it arrives. No post but still have school forms to fill in
8. Do one thing a day towards getting the house to where I want it.Need to write a list for this I agree with Honey - write the list as the first 'one thing' and the rest should (!) fall into place.LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!
Debt Dec 11: Unsecured £69,579 + Mortgage £59,948 = £129,527
Debt May 21: Unsecured ZERO! ZILCH! Mortgage £22,3321 -
Back to 1400 calories daily, to include 5 x F & V. Fail. Again. The meals have been sensible, it's just all that bl00dy cake! Three slices today, and they weren't small ones either. Embarrassingly, all cakes will be 'disposed of' by this time tomorrow so I should be able to think about other things. I have definitely learned something about my own lack of willpower here, and that starts in the supermarket from now on!
Six glasses of water daily to rinse away all that fat and sugar. Oh just the two and I don't even really know why. Probably just that water doesn't work as well with cake as tea does. Tomorrow I will try harder.
Only one bottle of wine per week, and the wine-week starts Fridays Tick on this one
At least seven hours in bed each night. I actually slept OK last night, and I'm going straight to bed now.
Stop pretending I've forgotten the Level 1 flying. We've both been at work all day so haven't had time to mess it up after yesterday's cleaning.
No non-essential spending Zero spends from me. I haven't checked Mr H's car for the tell-tale bacon sandwich wrapper though.LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

Happy Shoopix and Receipt Hog are apps to download. You photograph receipts and gain points points then make prizes!!! Sorry points make cash or gift cards! So simple and quick to do but I seem to have a real barrier when it comes to doing thus xx1

I felt so guilty after writing my last post I have photographed and uploaded 3 receipts to Shoppix and reactivated my Receipt Hog account (May '18 was the last time I used it:rotfl:) and have uploaded the same receipts to that. Pleasant surprise as I now have a £5 voucher to redeem! x1

2. Check for surveys on a daily basis. Fail again... There's always today/tomorrow, but I'm not sure how long that excuse works for.
3. Lose 3.5lbs per month Tick I'm so in awe of you, so thoroughly dealing with this!
4. Step target of 60,000 Yesterday I did 5,283 as i worked from home so not much ruuning around so I am 23.6% of the way there need to get a few more in Are you planning on doing a 5k Parkrun on Saturday to catch up if it looks as though you're not going to make it?
5. Have a 12 hour eating window Yep only 10hours:D Well done!
6. In bed and lights out by 11pm and up by 7.15 on weekdays Tickout at 10.40 and up at 6 as i had a breakfast meeting! Very organised. Impressive.
7. Deal with all post and letters from school on the day it arrives. No post but still have school forms to fill in  Start of term, and all that.
8. Do one thing a day towards getting the house to where I want it.Need to write a list for this That's why they're known as Good Intentions. If they were all easy we wouldn't need to list them!Back to 1400 calories daily, to include 5 x F & V. Fail. I don't think you're the first person who's discovered that having the wretched stuff in the house is just too much temptation.
Six glasses of water daily to rinse away all that fat and sugar. Oh just the two and I don't even really know why. Probably just that water doesn't work as well with cake as tea does. Tomorrow I will try harder. There is water in tea, and as long as you don't overload it with three sugars it's probably just as good for you. One upside to cake, I suppose, which makes one want the tea.
Only one bottle of wine per week, and the wine-week starts Fridays Tick on this one The safe one, almost there because there's only tonight to go before the New Wine Week starts again.
At least seven hours in bed each night. I actually slept OK last night, and I'm going straight to bed now. But were they the full seven hours?
Stop pretending I've forgotten the Level 1 flying. We've both been at work all day so haven't had time to mess it up after yesterday's cleaning. Dust, though. The wretched stuff breeds silently while you're not even there. (I hate dusting; it's malevolent stuff.)
No non-essential spending Zero spends from me. I haven't checked Mr H's car for the tell-tale bacon sandwich wrapper though. Let's take that one on trust, shall we?
I've just learned we're eating out tonight before the flicks and I need to walk the dog before that, so I'll be back later.Better is good enough.1 -
Hello All - had a life gets in the way time but all good. The thread is moving really fast so it is hard to keep up. I think everyone is hitting some of their targets :T
Happy: congratulations on getting the debt below £50k. Excellent news with the wine target - you've got it sorted. Visitors are great for concentrating the mind when it comes to Flying but not so good when it comes to treats - the cake will be gone soon.
Honey: it sounds to have been a great weekend - love tiramisu. Well done with all the Flying - windows aren't my idea of fun to clean. Good luck with typing up your notes.
Dolphin: good to see you back. Excellent news on another NCD - it's hard to give up. I've succumbed to buying chocolate and now it has to be eaten.
Seasidegal: great news on the weight loss. Well done on hitting your targets.
BB50: good to see you posting and great targets. Well done on the weight loss. It's your first month of targets and I think you're doing really well.0 -
I didn’t want to get a detention so in my absence I’ve still been trying to complete my daily targets but it’s been a bit hit and miss - well more miss than hit. Flying obviously went out of the window but I redeemed myself today and flicked a duster round.
I have completed the chair though so something ticked off the list. 0 -
Ladies you do make me laugh! Loving your warm and welcoming diary Happy. I am with Mr H I love a bacon sandwich. However as a Yorkshire Lass am I allowed to confess that I like both Whitebait and mussels (shuffles off to hide in the stationery cupboard)

1. Do not borrow from small saving pots - This is so tough. Been to the hairdressers and had to borrow out of savings. Will repay from this weeks and next weeks Beauty savings. There's a slight possibility, just very slight, that you may need to revisit your budget so that the borrowing can be minimised. I struggle with it too, so I know exactly where you're coming from.
2. Check for surveys on a daily basis. Failed yesterday... however I did two todayWell done on the two today - let's celebrate our successes.

- To have hit 63 kgs at some point on the scales over the course of the month which will require a steady downward tragectory. Nothing to see here. Move along everyone.
- 15 minutes Flying per day. Nothing today after the windows yesterday. The only ones I did were the insides of the front windows, but I did all the frames, all the curtain rails, washed the curtains (there aren't many, but still) and boy did they need it. It's been a while ....
- Stretches after each dog walk. Still need a bit of self-discipline about this.
- Clear one paperwork Frog each week ([STRIKE]minutes[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]tax return[/STRIKE], stocktake freezer and food cupboards) and now the complaince stuff. No, Happy, I won't get paid for it, but if it helps our democratic system keep trundling along it's worth it. Someone has to do all of the little jobs and our local mainstay has got his hands full with family responsibilties at the moment, so two of us had the training. Between the three of us we should be able to fulfill all the legal requirements. I hope so, because it looks as though it's going to be needed fairly soon.
