Hi Happy Now
I hope you don't mind me joining your happy band of followers? Your opening post really struck a chord. DH knows roughly the amount of debt but not how it's tackled. I manage all the financials. Keeping up appearances is more with other people - we are mid 40's and should be in a much better place than we are. I am on page 53 and will carry on reading the whole diary if you don't mind? I am really enjoying it! I am going to borrow 2 things from your early days of that's ok? Recording amount paid as as a percentage and making a pad to my interest bearing debts of anything I have saved!

So, today's efforts. Much better than the last few days...
Zero alcohol. Yep, no problem today. And Mr H and I went out for tea (we seem to be doing that a lot recently) and not only did I not crave alcohol, I actually ordered a glass of tap water. Healthy and free!
Maximum of 1400 calories per day, to include 5 x fruit and veg and just one sweet treat.
I was at 853 calories when we went out for tea, and I'd already eaten the 5 x F & V. I would have totally succeeded, but I met Mr H straight from work to go and do some jobs for my mum. He was starving (so he said....) so we called at a local pub for a cheap meal. I ordered veggie burger and chips with the firm intention of leaving most of the chips. I did not leave most of the chips. Sweet treat was a teeny piece of lemon cake, home made but not by me.
Six glasses of water per day I think so, I lost count, but probably.
Daily dog walk at a fast pace No, by the time I'd finished work, been out for tea and sorted my mum's jobs it was dark and Master H had already taken them. Must do this tomorrow.
No looking at my phone in bed or after 11 pm. Tick.
No money wasting. Balance YNAB daily. Nothing wasted (including those chips). YNAB balanced.LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

Dolphin - I hope your OH is feeling better now.I hope OH is fully mended now Dolphin. If not, bung him in the spare room, you need your sleep
OH is all better now, thanks. He did go in the spare room but noise travels in our house and I'm a light sleeper so if he can't sleep then neither can I.0 -

Good luck with the debt busting!0 -
Yesterday...
1) Be in bed by 10.00pm and light out by 10.30pm Sunday to Thursday - Pass. I was in bed by 9.40pm and the light went off at 10.20pm.
2) At least 30 minutes walking during the day - Fail (again). Only managed 10 minutes.
3) Drink 3 bottles of water a day - Pass. Definitely more than 3 bottles.
I'm thinking it will have to be the return of the NCDs (No Crap Days) next month, I really eat a load a rubbish.0 -
... slides in quietly, takes a seat at the back hoping no-one notices late arrival, and starts copying homework from next door neighbour :embarrassed smiley: I'll catch up when I've got the energy and time, but I'm off out again in five minutes.
- Lose more weight, ideally down to 65kgs by 1 September. 65.3kgs, I think, the last time I weighed myself.
- 15 minutes Flying a day, Monday to Friday; Tick; both bedrooms ready to let in time for this weekend, now I need to deal with the shower room. Later ....
- Leg stretches immediately after all dog walks. Being done, but not yet this morning. Legs much better.
- Lights out by 11.30 pm. Total fail last night, but that's because my whole evening was a disaster - at 6.50 pm Mr Bear mentioned a meeting I was taking minutes at, at 7.00 pm - I was in bed, resting. From then on the rest of the evening was a bit frantic. I need to deal with this nonsense. I can't spend my whole life lurching between exhaustion and being frantic. I need to find a way of pacing myself.

Welcome Balance by 50!
After all that digging and gardening you more than earned a couple of meals out, Happy. I do love the reslish with which you celebrate!I'll help you out - there's water in wineI ordered veggie burger and chips with the firm intention of leaving most of the chips. I did not leave most of the chips. Sweet treat was a teeny piece of lemon cake, home made but not by me.

I love this thread!... (hand raised) "miss, miss, Honey Bear was late again"
YOU SNEAK! I bet you're a swot, too.
Now, let's see if I can knit the previous days together. The caffeine day was highly productive in the end because I had so much energy. It's taken over two years (more like three or four) but the walk in cupboard under the front steps has had a thorough sort out and looks a lot better. Stuff will be going to the chazza, as well as some being chucked. Excellent. I'm back to normal caffeine-wise, thank goodness.
My weight seems to be falling steadily and I really don't understand why. It's possible Mr Bear and I are eating smaller portions bit's defo not diet-type food. We're eating the leftovers from a rather large party, truth be told.
Lights out times during the weird days were rather good, I seem to remember but then, of course, I blew it last night.
And I'm all caught up *phew* with this bit of my life, at least.Better is good enough.0 -
Hello BalanceBy50.
HappyNow - good news that you're back on the wagon.I might get the Bero book out and see if I can set Mr H off on that one now he's mastered scones. Chocolate ones I think......50 minutes (2 x 20 minute walks & 1 x 10 minute walk) - 45 minutes (1 x 20 minute walk & 1 x 25 minute walk).

Honey Bear - good to have you back. Sorry things are very busy for you. Excellent news on the weight loss and sorting the cupboard - I have a cupboard of doom which could do with a clear out.
My targets - exercise met. Flying - I just didn't bother.

From the start I recorded my debts as percentages and I still do. I update it on the 15th of each month which is our payday and I get quite excited by any milestones. There's a big one coming up on 15th September when I HOPE the overall debt will drop below 50%. That ones been a long time coming!
