    Hello everyone
Go you Dolphin, you're doing really well.
I have got either a summer cold or another type of pollen has caused new hayfever. I'm all bunged up and have a temperature. Very irritating, but not debilitating.
Looking forward to a quiet evening tonight and then ease into the weekend and hopefully this will pass soon.

:hello: Hey joeyjimbles, lovely to hear from you, I'm just keeping the home fires burning while everyone is away. Sorry to hear you aren't feeling too well, I have had a headache on and off for a few days and OH has had a bit of a temperature but I know the pollen count is very high at the moment so we are putting it down to that. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks - feel a bit better today but it has rained which definitely helps. I didn't get to sleep til really late last night as I was both uncomfortable in myself, and uncomfortable viewing the tv.

Yes, the rain has taken away some of the humidity at least, it's a nuisance for getting the washing dry though :D.

    Update for yesterday...

    1) To have 12 NCDs - Cake and ice cream eaten so still on 9 NCDs for June.
    2) To walk an average of 10,000 steps per day over each week (so 70,000 total for each week) - Just over 10,000 steps yesterday so I only need to do about 10,000 steps in total over today and tomorrow to meet my target which is a good job because I am tired.
    3) To put my light out by 11pm every night including weekends - Light out at 12.15am as I wanted to finish a book.

    Hi all
I cannot read in bed - if the book is good then I will never end up going to sleep. I tend to read downstairs and then go up to bed, and a bit like you I have to give myself a curfew or I'll be there all night. Sadly I chose really badly at the library last week and one book I hate, another I am not sufficiently intelligent to understand and the other two were great but I romped through them so I'll need to go back sooner than anticipated.
We have a tv in our room, from when OH was bedridden, so sometimes I'll go up early and watch something on netflix or regular tv but assuming I can sleep then I will just go to sleep when I get into bed. That is sadly a rather large assumption still though.

It's the opposite for me. no matter whether a book is good or not, I still find myself nodding off when reading in bed. It was a real struggle on Saturday night getting to the end of the book especially the last few pages, I had to keep reading the same sentences over and over again but I was determined to finish it :D.

Getting to sleep is not usually a problem for me, it's the staying asleep that's the problem , my nights are very restless.
