I know we are still in May but I'm listing my targets for June before I change my mind...

    1) To have 12 NCDs (I'm on holiday for a week in June so want to set a realistic target especially as I have had very few NCDs recently).
    2) To walk an average of 10,000 steps per day over each week (so 70,000 total for each week).
    3) To put my light out by 11pm every night including weekends (I have been very slack on this lately and I am starting to suffer for it).

And that is it for now although I am going to count my calories for a few days as I'm beginning to wonder how many I am actually eating as it's been a while since I lost any weight so this may lead to a new target.

Well, that was a pretty hopeless month in the end. I think there was only one day that I managed to stay off the sugar. Hopeless.

We're away on holibobs tomorrow so I'm not posting anything targetty for June at all because I don't want to even think about feeling guilty for being a greedy guts, which I fully intend to be. I'll worry about the consequences when it's all over.

I hope everyone has a lovely time while I am away and here's some rah rahs to keep you all going - when I've rounded them up.
    Better is good enough.

Well this new fancy fandangled internet is a bit of a disappointment! It was fine for the first 24 hours. Then two things happened:
    1. I paid for it (and it was £180)
    2. I told Master Happy he could take our old Mifi on holiday because I didn't need it anymore.
Cue the immediate breakdown :D .It's new technology and I know teething problems are to be expected, but how frustrating. It's supposedly mended now and it's working fine, but we will see how long it lasts. Not that I'm complaining really, I'm grateful that we've got the chance of it, but being without internet is like being without money and food :D. Anyway, I'm here for now at least and pleased to see that the thread is so active.

No exciting news here. Happy Pops is just the same, the redundancy money still isn't through, Mr Happy is still enjoying unemployment (and decorating using leftover-paint-found-in-the-shed) and I am still eating carp, sleeping carp and walking on feet that look like carp.

Internet willing, I will be back later with a full round-up but if I crash again HONEY - HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY, DOLPHIN - GREAT TARGETS AND JOEY - I'M GOING TO TRY YOUR RICE

*Ouch* obvs, because it's a lot in one hit especially at the moment but it's worth it - if it's reliable. Our signal can be flakey after about 5.00pm I'm told because so many people log in when they get home from work and that clogs up the speed. Actually it's probably because everyone else's routers are more shoutey than ours in a relatively small space georgraphically and that means our signal can't get from the point where it cable comes into the house and our offices which are upstairs on the other side of the house - floors and walls in the way etc. Apparently the solution is for us to get an even more shouty router (more expense) at which point they do, too. Rinse and repeat ad infinitum ad nauseum.

If your old system that Handsome Son has taken away was reliable enough to get you through, you know what you're going to have to do, don't you?

Agreed: being without t'internet is like being without money or food - it's like the day the electricity goes off and my first thought is, 'I know, I'll have a cup of tea.' *Doh* I'm horrified to discover that I can barely function without it now at home, so I'm not taking a computer on holiday as I can charge the ipod through OH's. Let's see how long I can survive without even checking emails. Not even 24 hours, I imagine. Rather worrying, really.

Going solo on your thread was never by choice, but at least being conscious of my apparent total inability to stop scoffing sugary stuff has been revealed. I gave up sugar about 25 years ago even going so far as to limit myself to two pieces of fruit a day, which pretty much controlled my weight until I gave up smoking 10 years ago (a stone on) and then drinking, which revealed that one of the things drinkers indulge - is a sugar-craving. So this is a toughie but it hasn't been mindless, feeding the craving this last few weeks, so that's an improvement.

I'm sending *posi-vibes* that all of this status quo nonsense will be banished by massive improvements toute suite. Why am I suddenly going all foreign language here? Oh, must be because I'm going on holibobs. The Portugal box is empty, the suitcase is packed, the dogsitter is booked ....

*Healing vibes*, *bank-balance-boosting vibes*, *finding more fullish paint tin vibes*, *healthy eating vibes*, *sleep tight vibes* and *hoof-nurturing vibes* heading your way. The vibe fairies will be demanding overtime.

The Twinks tin is nearly empty. I thought it would be a good idea to make sure they didn't hang around going stale while we were away. Mission accomplished.

Have a lovely holiday Honey Bear. See you when you get back (unless I'm on holiday by then).

Lovely to see you HappyNow. We were without internet access for 10 days when we last moved house and I was tearing my hair out by the end of it. It's amazing how much we have come to rely on it. We spent hours in local cafes drinking tea (and eating cake) just so that we could use their wifi. Hope you don't have any more problems with it.

So, update for first day of June...

    1) To have 12 NCDs - Yay, my first NCD for aaages so NCD number 1 for June.
    2) To walk an average of 10,000 steps per day over each week (so 70,000 total for each week) - Only 9,479 yesterday but I'm hoping that it will average out over the week.
    3) To put my light out by 11pm every night including weekends - Success, light out at 10pm.

I realise that I am probably talking to myself at the moment :D but I feel that I need to update every day if I am going to have any chance of making my targets.

    Update for yesterday...

    1) To have 12 NCDs - I had some cheesecake so no NCD and still on 1 NCD for June.
    2) To walk an average of 10,000 steps per day over each week (so 70,000 total for each week) - 11,123 yesterday so that will help with the average for the week.
    3) To put my light out by 11pm every night including weekends - Success again, light out at 10.15pm.

Update for the last two days...

    1) To have 12 NCDs - Friday was a NCD but Saturday wasn't so I am now on 2 NCDs for June. I am not expecting to have many for the next week because we are going away tomorrow :j but we'll see.
    2) To walk an average of 10,000 steps per day over each week (so 70,000 total for each week) - 14,126 steps on Friday and 7,556 yesterday so I think I'm still on target for an average of 10,000 per day over the last week. The results will be in on Tuesday.
    3) To put my light out by 11pm every night including weekends - Friday was 10.30pm but Saturday was 11.30pm but still I haven't been doing too bad on this so far.

I won't be reporting in again until next weekend now as we will be 'offline' for a few days, no phone signal and unlikely to have wifi, can't wait :D. Bye for now!
