Keep up the good work, people!
The story so far from me is:
Organise my surplus money into 'pots'. Don't think YNAB's for me. I've nearly finished recategorising Quicken though
Work on the Week's FLYzone. Not as much as I should have, but nore than I'd done before. so I'm pleased with the progress so far.
Eat a minimum of 3 F&V per day.Yes! Thank for the dried fruit tip honey
Floss my teeth daily. All but Monday
Bed by 2230h Sunday to Thursday. Not Tuesday, because I give someone a lift. Better make that 2300! Off shortly for an early night :A:rotfl:
Do at least 4 rows of knitting per day. Erm... No.A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!
CHALLENGES
2025 Declutter:
1 CONTAINER (box/bag/folder etc) per day; 50/365
1 FROG (minimum) per week; 6/52
WEIGHT I'll start with 25 lbs (though I need to lose more!) and see how it goes...🤔 0/25
2025 NSDs: 15 per MONTH - FEB 4/15; JAN 21/15
2025 Fashion on the Ration: (carried over from 2024) 10+66 = 76
2025 Make Do, Mend & Minimise No target, just remember to report!

You are doing well basketcase. :T If Quicken suits you then don't worry about setting up a new budget on YNAB.

I keep track of my spending with a very straightforward spreadsheet I designed myself, with a tweak or two each year. I've managed to build up quite a revealing picture since I started it in 2007. Whatever system you use it has to be quick and simple or it won't work long term.

Any progress at all is a major victory!

Having just scoffed three apricots I have, once again, thanked my lucky stars about this myself!

Having realised that by focussing on extra dental care earlier in the day I have finally cracked this, I can't understand why I thought leaving doing something I don't like until last thing at night would work for me. How are you managing to make yourself do it?

Having worked on my bedtime slowly but surely for the past year or so I now realise I have become very antisocial. I couldn't wait to get to bed at 9.30 on Wednesday because I was all peopled out.
Do at least 4 rows of knitting per day. Erm... No.
Isn't the knitting supposed to be for fun?Better is good enough.1 -
Morning Happy!
- Carry on with contacting possible outlets, a county a fortnight should be about right. Still: Must make a listy. Nuffink. This kind of isn't happening at the moment. Again.
- 15 minutes a day flying five days a week. Been away for a couple of days but I got up at 6.00 am on Wednesday before I went and did pretty much everything that needed to be done before I went which I thought was rather marvellous of me. It would have been antisocial to vaccuum that early in the morning though, wouldn't it?
- No sugary stuff until Easter Sunday. Biscuits scoffed in hotel room. They just shouldn't leave them out during Lent, should they.
- No computer after 9.00 pm (except my ipod so that I can choose my night-time listening) and lights out by 11.30 pm. Tick and tick.
- 5 fruit and veg a day. Sorted one day I was away but travelling and eating out can be genuinely problematic.
- Spring clean the office - dust the shelves first. Nuffink.
- Electric toothbrush once a day. Tick.
- No ***ing swearing, fine of £1 a word. Had to add this back in for myself, obvs, as it turns out it's quite a profitable little sideline. *holds out hand for cash* A lot better than it used to be, but it's like all bad habits - it does creep back given the chance when things are stressful.

Look at you all with your shiny achievements lists all polished. I have done so little this week because of out of the house work so today has already been a whirlwind of activity and the list (2 sides of A4) is barely scratched, and I have the job of doom to complete this weekend.
So I'd better get on with it.
This month's target was to get all the stuff out of the house that is no longer needed on voyage and to tidy the remains. Well, now that's clear I had better get on with it.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300
