Half term over with which is a bit of a shame. I love not having to nag first thing in the morning - back to reality with a bump at 6.30am this morning. But the good habits are still there, so all laundry dealt with and ironing done by 9am, downstairs rooms quick tidied and hoovered by 10am, and bathrooms cleaned and beds made by 11am along with dinner made. I find it helps to get it all out of the way in the morning, and then whatever else happens or doesn't is a bonus. I've been aiming to achieve this since DS1 was a baby - I'll take it - and aim to get it done quicker by the end of the week.
Hope you've all had good weekends, and all the Happy clan are feeling well/better.

Your scores on the doors look great Dolphin, other than the creamy things which is totally understandable. And it was the weekend.

Yeah, well, it might 'help' but it's still housework and I still hate it, so I still procrastinate and make lists and sit at my desk and sharpen pencils and check the diary and plan what to do ....
    Better is good enough.

    @Happy
    • Meal plan from existing stocks as much as possible every week. Nothing to add, other than OH has rejigged what we're eating tonight which is okay.
    • Clear desk gibble daily In tray inspected for forgotten horrors.
    • Stop ****ing swearing. Fine £1 a word for each ****ing occurence I don't think I owe the tin for anything over the weekend, but something did slip out this morning.
    • Identify and contact five outlets for each working day in February, so that's 21 in all Desk clearing today for tomorrow's onslaught on the phone call front. Interestingly one set of samples has been returned, so that should be disappointing but isn't because that shop told me they didn't take many cards from 'wild' suppliers!
    • 15 minutes a day flying five days a week. It'll take more than 15 mins to do the minumum today. *curses*
    • No sugary stuff one day a week for the first week, two days a week for the second week, three days a week in Week 3 and four days a week in Week 4. Scales are playing up -0.9kg yesterday, +0.2kg today. Hrumph. Chocolate cravings were dreadful yesterday and I forgot I was going to allow myself Sundays off, so they weren't indulged. I'd be pleased with myself but I don't think that's allowed in Lent.
    • No computer after 9.00 pm (except my ipod so that I can choose my night-time listening) and lights out by 11.30 pmIt was the weekend. :naughty:
    • 5 fruit and veg a day Probably not.
    • Electric toothbrush once a day. Done; but only because I did it early. I still hate doing it but there's absolutely no reason to hate it. Wish I could get past this.
    Better is good enough.

    • 15 minutes a day flying five days a week. I think for the first time in a long time I did everything on my personal Flying list yesterday. That shouldn't mean I don't do anything for the rest of the week but it probably will.
    • No sugary stuff one day a week for the first week, two days a week for the second week, three days a week in Week 3 and four days a week in Week 4. Scales all over the place. Now showing a loss again. And Lo Battery, so that's probably got something to do with it.

    • 5 fruit and veg a day Tick.
    • Electric toothbrush once a day. Not done; I meant to do it before we went to the theatre, but I ran out of time.
    Better is good enough.

I completely agree with you Honey. I hate housework with a passion and working from home means that I am perpetually confronted with it in one shape or another. I have decided that the only way I can deal with it, and it must be dealt with in order for the rest of the household to function (and yes, OH and the boys do help), is to regard it as the frog that must be eaten every morning.

As long as I don't give myself time to think about it and just start, then it happens. This morning there was only tidying, kitchen and bathrooms to do so after that was completed I quickly pulled out the contents of the food cupboards and now they have been cleaned and sorted. And my only pleasure in it is that is now done and I won't have to do it again for a bit.

I've tried the flylady thread and it did work for a while, but then life would get in the way or, more likely, I'd get bored. Given you clearly feel similarly then well done on achieving your flylady list.

You're doing great, Dolphin, and thanks, Joey. I know I should just get it over and done with every day and the Flylady Thread works better for me than anything else has so I'll stick with the slapdash and haphazard routine that sometimes works - which is a lot more than any or any other system has.
