Hello! Sorry Mrs HappyNow & Mrs Honey Bear, I can't believe that I have been AWOL for the whole of Suptember and the cheering on the sidelines has been totally lacking. I have been reading but just wasn't in the mood to post.
September ended up being a rubbish month. Just before we went for our break away, I hurt my back. We still went away but it was hard work and I know I overdid it so it is still bothering me now although it is improving slowly. I have had back problems on and off for years. I am supposed to do daily exercises to strengthen the muscles but I haven't done them for a loooong time so that's probably why I am having problems at the moment. Therefore, I will be adding my daily exercises to my Suptember 2 targets which I am definitely up for assuming that I'm allowed to take part in Suptember 2 when I missed the original Suptember??0 -

Ouch and healing vibes heading yourway, Dolphin. I don't set the rules here but Happy seems pretty cheerful about anyone joining in, and we all seem to have a blip here and there.Better is good enough.0 -
- No computer after 9.00pm. Stuck to it and read a bit more of my book. Thoroughly enjoying it, so until it's finished the computer isn't so much of a draw.
- Lights out by 11.30pm. Done.
- Five fruit and veg a day. Done, but only because I hastily crammed some dried apricots in and flung the last of the beetroot juice down my neck. Poached eggs and saute potatoes for lunch, mucho yum yum yum, but not much of an appetite for anything else after that.
- 15 minutes flying a day, sticking to the new schedule: Monday: Dusting/dewebbing; Tuesday: Kitchen; Wednesday: Floors; Thursday: Bath/shower room; Friday: Windows/Paintwork. I still owe the house 5:42 mins dusting, 10 minutes on the kitchen and then I'm back on track.
- Go flour free. Staying with it really isn't that hard and from October I will allow myself to eat floury stuff when we're out. I don't want to get precious and boring about it.

Yum, love poached eggs and saute potatoes and it makes a great combination. - 15 minutes flying a day, sticking to the new schedule: Monday: Dusting/dewebbing; Tuesday: Kitchen; Wednesday: Floors; Thursday: Bath/shower room; Friday: Windows/Paintwork. 5:42 mins, very precise :rotfl:! - Go flour free. Staying with it really isn't that hard and from October I will allow myself to eat floury stuff when we're out. I don't want to get precious and boring about it.
While I was AWOL, I did follow the pizza conversation. I really miss it since I was diagnosed with coeliac disease, even more so than crusty bread. The only half decent gluten free pizza that I have had so far has been at Pizza Express but it's still not the same as the real thing. Oh well, it's worth it not to be so ill anymore

The aubergines in tomato sauce (£1.19) are available this week at L!d1 as part of its Greek Week along with a bean thing in tom sauce (99p) here but I can't find the Tarka Dahl stuff again. It's often the way with L!d1 I find - they get random stuff randomly. I keep popping in because their hazelnut chocolate is fab and to stock up on Cu$e11e loo paper when it's on special office (like now.) We have a Ldl not too far away from here but I never go because I literally drive past Tessies on my way home from work. It'd only be an extra mile's drive so I can't really blame it on petrol-saving so I must do it. This month is a really good one to start as money is ridiculously tight.
Dusting. Hmm. I need to know how little I can do to stay on top of it once I am. Getting on top of it is not something I've ever achieved and it sounds as though your house is pretty similar. I wonder if anyone who reads this has the answer? Hmm? We have a coal fire and far too many internal animals to ever keep on top of the dust. I refuse to be a slave to it! (unless we're having visitors, then I get frenzied!)
I'm very up for Suptember 2, so to speak. Your thread keeps me on a straightish and narrowish, as opposed to a wiggley wandering. Oh look ... just over there ... fancy that ... looks rather interesting ... wanders off pi$te and gets totally absorobed and lost .... Excellent. Let's get started then....[/QUOTE]Honey_Bear wrote: »- ; Friday: Windows/Paintwork. Enough extra Flying undertaken for me to feel virtuous enough to stop again. Even better. Sorry to hear you had a rubbish September, but I have high hopes for you with Suptember2. I will make sure lots of nagging goes on, particularly for your back exercises, so hopefully you will feel loads better by the end of it.

OK, Suptember2 is officially launched! My own focus this month:
- Money (surprise, surprise!) Absolutely no waste allowed. I have £9.17 to last until payday on 15th. Everything else is being borrowed from Christmas savings so I need to minimise it. Then from 15th onwards I will still be very frugal to stop it happening again.
- Myfitnesspal I'm carrying on with this because it's really working for me, but I will increase my calorie allowance to 1700 because that's quite realistic.
- Post here everyday It really helps, especially with the money.

Ok, my targets for Suptember 2 are...
1) Not to eat any of the following... butter, cake, sweets, biscuits, chocolate, ice cream, cream or desserts of any kind. I'm quite relieved that I have only put a couple of lbs back on while my back has been really bad but want to try and get some more weight off now.
2) To switch the light off by 10.30pm. My sore back has caused quite a few sleepless nights lately so I am feeling a bit run down.
3) To do my back exercises at least twice a day.0 -
Dolphin - good luck with your challenges (especially that low-treat diet ). And here is your first nag! HAVE YOU DONE YOUR EXERCISES???
DAY 1 for me has been a bit...erm.... mixed
Money - I have been faultless! Washing done during Economy 7 hours & line dried. Didn't run the dishwasher, all lights turned off when not in use etc etc. All the basics, which might only save a few pence but are more about getting into that mind-set. No spends whatsoever, and I have paid the coal bill in time to get the fast payment discount.
Myfitnesspal - this is where it fell down. It was going so well until about 4pm, when Little Miss Happy called in on her way home from school (teacher training, not pupil). I was still working, so she cooked for us and it was lovely and I ate loads because it would have been rude not to, and now I feel slightly sick. She brought cream cakes with her. Chocolate ones. I'm only human. So, Suptember2 starts tomorrow on this one! Embarrassing first day
