I think I'd prefer it that way too, to be honest.
My boys are quite happy with the @ldi 3 for £2.70 frozen pizzas and whatever is in the fridge as toppings. They do taste quite good especially if you get your oven super-hot and have a pizza stone. I love proper thin wood-fired oven pizzas - spent many summers working as a rep in France and our regular treat was the local pizzeria. For preference I love peppers, mushrooms, onions and a soft egg, with or without anchovies or parma ham.
Interesting that all three of us have a 'thing' for pizza!
MFP still going well for me. My belt is tighter by two notches from when I started and my jeans are starting to look a bit baggy. All good signs.
That is brilliant! two notches on my belts would be at least two inches, but in reality it means a loss of a lot more. Well done! You must be very pleased.Better is good enough.0 -
- No computer after 9.00pm. Not good again last night - stressey evening.
- Lights out by 11.30pm. Nor this again.
- Five fruit and veg a day. Dates, tomatoes, red pepper, onion, okra, mushrooms. Better.
- 15 minutes flying a day, sticking to the new schedule: Monday: Dusting/dewebbing; Tuesday: Kitchen; Wednesday: Floors; Thursday: Bath/shower room; Friday: Windows/Paintwork.
Despite not thinking I would, I did actually spend my alloted 15 minutes on Flying yesterday, so I feel quite :A-ish. - Go flour free. Made OH a batch of Twinks and myself a flourless chocolate cake. What's not to like about chocolate, cocoa, butter, eggs and sugar? Had it hot with ice cream as a pudding. Yum.

Thanks. I've been doing this for a few months now, and it was and is necessary. Its great to see results on the scales and the tape, but I really go more on how I feel and how I look. I tend to put weight on like an onion, a little layer over everything so it isn't noticeable unless you've not seen me for a bit. But taking it off it goes from my waist and boobs first (there's seriously more than enough of the latter whatever I weigh) and then the rest of me. My face looks a little thinner but although the rest of me has definitely shrunk a bit its the waist that has the biggest change. Thighs and calves will be last sadly. I'm aiming to keep this up til mid December and then ease off a little and revamp in January.
There will also be a short hiatus in late November when I go to London with the 'girls'. It starts and ends with a picnic and wine on the train, and the middle is a rather self-indulgent squidge of shopping, museums, theatres, yummy meals, coffee breaks and a few glasses of wine - mulled, sparkling, in the interval, in the hotel... Its my annual time off being a mum/wife and I aim to thoroughly enjoy it.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

It's interesting how focussed the media is on boobs, the more the merrier so to speak. One of my main aims when I decided to get to grips with losing weight was that I didn't like them as big as they were and although I've lost more off my waist (5" or so, much needed loss, because the extra inches defo weren't needed by me) the 2" in boobage that disappeared were even more welcome. Greater loss would be even more welcome but if I can stay roughly where I am for a year, the next time OH disappears off to Cannes and then the Edinburgh Festival (he says it's work, yeah, right) for about 10 days and two to three weeks respectively, that's when I tend to accelerate the shrinkage regime. The trick is to maintain the smaller me in the meantime.
I'm aiming to keep this up til mid December and then ease off a little and revamp in January. There will also be a short hiatus in late November when I go to London with the 'girls'. Excellent idea, to give yourself a break when you can enjoy life to the full, otherwise it's just an endless stream of denial - never good for anyone long term, imho.brizzledfw wrote: »Wow amazing stuff folks..(as she sits on her backside watching a Jack Reacher movie and drinking her third G&T!!)

Every cheer helps! Two nights a week off the booze would have been progress for me about 18 months ago so you're doing more than I used to do.Better is good enough.0 -
- No computer after 9.00pm. Hopeless.
- Lights out by 11.30pm. And for this.
- Five fruit and veg a day. Dates, beetroot juice (I knew I was going to fail, so bowed to the inevitable), peas, broccoli ... are we absolutely sure chocolate doesn't count? A neighbour gave us a massive chunk of chocolate cake which OH served up to me on a plate with a fork and everything. It would have been rude to turn that down, wouldn't it? And I've polished off the rest of the flour-free cake to get rid of the temptation. It made an excellent breakfast two mornings running.
- 15 minutes flying a day, sticking to the new schedule: Monday: Dusting/dewebbing; Tuesday: Kitchen; Wednesday: Floors; Thursday: Bath/shower room; Friday: Windows/Paintwork. Shower room swill, hairy carpet areas sucked and kitchen sort of tidied.
- Go flour free. In addition to the decreasing lethargy and increasing energy levels, I'm also very aware that I'm much less irritable and that my leg cramps have disappeared, despite zooming around far more. I do feel tired, but it's a different kind of tired, if that makes any sense at all.

I can't do hungry, so I don't understand how anyone can, and slightly concerning that you're on a really tight food regime that isn't actually resulting in weightloss.
Pillowy softness, I call it. And God help anyone who calls it anything else..

My neighbours never do that. Disappointing!

XWell done on the Mondays and Tuesdays. I'm having red wine every night at the moment, integrated into my reduced calorie intake. I hear it's called alcorexia

Not been about much for the last few days because Granny Happy's house has finally sold and it's all hands on deck to get it emptied by next weekend. She's got 93 years worth of stuff to move so it's a big job. It's not leaving much time for spending or eating though, so the targets are still on trackLBM Dec 2011. Very hard work, in my experience, Happy, so I hope it's going smoothly and you're making progress.
The trouble with being really, really busy is that if the tiniest thing goes wrong, the whole thing becomes nearly impossible to manage. The dog or cat peeing on the spare-est bed has resulted in all sorts of problems which have to be resolved by Wednesday night. Things are not looking good and I'm totally knackered.
Back soon with an update, some of which will be okay but most will have the F-word.Better is good enough.0
