Yes OH has used moisturiser for about as long as we've been together. He has that sensitive skin that gets red in the cold and can react to all sorts of things, he used to use Nivea and then Aldi when everyone was raving about it but they stopped stocking the one he liked in our store. He switches between Liz Earle and Nivea sensitive.

Job of doom is finished and client is delighted apparently. Thrilled by someone who 'doesn't moan about the brief and just gets on with it'.....little do they know. I still don't think its too much to ask that they should know which products they sell in a country before they ask people to go and buy them! Ah well - the money will be paid in 10 days and will help cover summer expenses and chip a little off the 'small chunks'.

I was wondering, I did a cursory search but nothing jumped out at me, but could you perhaps email Olay customer services and ask them for samples. If you explain your skin type, past issues etc then I would think that they would like to try to help you. If you tweet then they may be available on Twitter too. I would suggest you could do the same with any of the other companies too. Oh and you could sign up to SuperSavvyMe who often do samples and freebies.

Thanks Joey. I had a look online too as I thought they might send out samples but couldn't see it anywhere. I think you are right though, sending them an email would be a good idea, I have nothing to lose.

I'm not sure about SuperSavvyMe though. Has anyone tried them? I just worry that I will be inundated with spam once they have my details.

Erm..... you could always throw the ice cream in the bin you know??

Yeah right! :rotfl: It's the lovely stuff from M&S, 2 tubs for £7, I couldn't bear to waste it.

    Update for yesterday...

    1) More ice cream. The downside to only having one scoop at a time is that it lasts ages so it is tempting me every day, maybe I should just eat it all in one sitting :D.
    2) Light off at 11.40pm.
    3) Meal plan for the week already done.
    4) No spends on other people.
    5) Not done.

All this talk of ice cream meant that OH got sent to the local corner shop to get some Kelly$ Cornish Clotted ice cream for an extra pudding for tonight - like we need another, and on top of all the food we've got already ....
    Better is good enough.

    1. Lights out by 11.30pm five nights a week. Oops. 12.10pm and that was supposed to be an early one. I was in bed by 9.40 and then some noggin let the cat out. He was prancing around like the imp he is and is a bu**er to catch. Woke we right up again.
    2. Maximum of five mugs of real coffee a week. Sorted.
    3. Five fruit and veg a day. Strawberries, beetroot juice (I now realise it's an acquired taste, so probably just as well you didn't shell out on it), the end of the swede and carrot mash, courgette, pineapple. Just.
    4. Get Kelpie to [STRIKE]come to call reliably[/STRIKE] stop barking inappropriatly by the end of the month. I've given up on trying to get him to eat 100% Chapp!3 and am subsituting about 20% D3ne'$. He'll eat that without me having to get my delicate mitts covered in the muck. I'm settling for it.
    5. Give myself a couple of hours every day when I don't feel guilty about not doing more. Success - but over the past two days I'm back to flat out which is just too much. I want me couple of hours of nothingness back!
    Better is good enough.

Love that ice cream - and their raspberry one too.

When DS1 and I were in London we got free ice cream from Ben&Jerry's who were doing a tasting. I'm not sure who was in charge of portion control (cringe - hate the word 'portion') but they were doing a rotten job of it and we each were given 3 huge scoops of a choice of their new flavours. DS1 had new peanut butter one - a core one - and I had the Speculoos (spelling?) which was absolutely gorgeous. I'm not normally an ice-cream girl unless its really good stuff but I'll be looking out for special offers on this one.

I appear to be signed up with a googlemail account that I use for sign-ups and just give a glance at once a week or so. It would appear that I get 1-2 emails a week max.

Same here. I think it's because I don't see ice cream as a dessert, just an accompaniment to a dessert. Would much rather have cake :D!
