Wouldn't it be lovely if the blotchiness was an allergy to Eton Mess and chocolate
. I would be so grateful if that happened to me! Could it be a bit of sunburn though? Maybe you were a bit late applying the cream?
I'm pretty sure that it was the suncream. In fact, I seem to be sensitive to anything that I put on my face so I'm not sure how I'm going to find a suncream or moisturiser that doesn't cause a reaction. I haven't put anything on for the last few days to let it calm down.0 -

There was a moment on Thursday night when OH and I thought we were going to lose him, but he's turned the corner thank goodness. The results are back; it was benign, so he's got the all clear - Hurrah!
So pleased to hear that Kelpie is doing a lot better. He must have given you both such a scare. And very pleased that the test came back benign. :T0 -
Ok, back to it, update for yesterday...
1) There was a tiny bit of coffee cake left over from the weekend so I just had to finish it off.
2) Light off at 10.50pm.
3) Meal plan for the week done and shopping delivered.
4) No spends on other people.
5) Face and neck moisturised and my face is much better, definitely the suncream that made it blotchy so need to get a different one.0 -

Honey - I'm so pleased Kelpie is OK, I hadn't realised it was so touch-and-go
. Hope the headaches are gone
Al - Mr HappySoon is loads better thanks. He's back to the GP on Friday and hopefully will be back in work next week
Dolphin - wow you're focussed! Well done you, and having the weekend off was probably just what you needed.LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

I've been struggling to post with Mr H off work. He's just always HERE! He's getting better now though and we will both be pleased when he's back at work next week
Update for the last three days:
Money. Payday today and all the bills are paid, this year's hay money is ready and waiting, and I finally got to do a proper Tessie shop. It included a light bulb which cost £8.00!!!! What?? It had better last forever.............
Diet. This is stupidly hard right now. I just want to eat chocolate and cake ALL THE TIME!!! I think it's the stress of having Mr H as my 24 hr companion
Water. Hmm. I'm preferring tea and red wine. I'm forcing myself to drink a few glasses a day because I do feel better for it.
Sleep. Not too bad, I think I'm averaging 7 hours per night.
Fun. Still saving up my fun-quota to use when life is less tiring. It's gonna be wild!LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

Go, Dolphin, Go! You're rocking it this month, aren't you?
Glad to hear Mr HappySoon is on the mend. I love my OH, but not-so-secretly I rather look forward to his jaunts to watch his footie team (season ticket holder for a club 250ish miles away) or work. When he's away I find I can get to grips with stuff more and I rather like my own company. Well done on the financial side of things; you're getting there.Better is good enough.0 -
- Lights out by 11.30pm five nights a week. Hopeless. By the time I looked at the time last night it was 0045.
- Maximum of five mugs of real coffee a week. I'm now on a mix of very strong real decaff with half a teaspoon of instant in it. It's working really well for me.
- Five fruit and veg a day. Success; the summer fruit is just fab.
- Get Kelpie to come to call reliably by the end of the month. I'm still hand-feeding him but he's back on dog food and recovering really steadily now. Lots of 'Happy Kelpie' all over the place, on the Hoe, in the garden, on the floor - pretty much all the time. His recall is completelyshot - all of the training I had done has been forgotten so I'll have to start from scratch again. Small price to pay.
- Give myself a couple of hours every day when I don't feel guilty about not doing more. This is turning out to be much simpler than I'd anticipated after years of thinking I should be flat out from the moment I get up, to the moment I stop to eat dinner. There's a technique I heard about a while ago which states that if you do the three most important tasks first every day, the rest will fall into place. I'm therefore limiting msyelf to those three tasks as a 'Must Do' and whatever elese I achieve is a bonus. Some days, nothing, some days, things I've been meaning to do for ages and have been procrastinating about forever. Much more is being achieved, less effort is being expended. Excellent arrangement.

MSE keeps eating the long posts I write.
Well done everyone on achievements and encouragement to those still trying. Happy to hear the Kelpie is still progressing well and that you are taking some time for yourself HB - its important, you are important.
And I hope Mr Happy is getting better - it sounds most unpleasant.
London was fun, successful and a complete change to the norm and we both had a good time even if my feet do still ache a bit. Lots of eating, museums, galleries, two theatre trips and teenage shopping. All came in under budget and achieved more than we expected really - plus free Ben&Jerry's ice cream in Portobello and free wine/ice cream at the theatre.
Already planning which shoes to wear when I go on my girls' trip in November - already budgeting too!LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300
