- Does leaving the dog at home alone for three and a half hours count? In view of the worries I had about seperation anxiety it's going in the mix. He was absolutely fine, thank goodness. Later in the day a neighbour took him for a walk which they both loved, and the towelling he had afterwards turned into a mutual love-fest so I worked on his front legs. That's huge progress.
Yes, definitely counts and sounds very positive indeed. - Nothing on insurance again. (Oops to the tune of a lot.) There are only two things on my Must Do list this week and this is one of them.
Time for my favourite smiley.
- *rustles freezer bags, yawns, and puts off doing anything again* Despite eating carp for a couple of days the lbs are still disappearing which is great, but very mysteriously the inches aren't. I'm below my first target weight wise but my cleavage is still more of a crowded balcony, as they French say, than I would like.
All the dog walking must be paying off. - Lights out by 9.30 last night and I slept right through until 6.45. I need a few more of those again.
- I've washed half the carpets at the chalet and reset the dehumidifier but it's due to rain all day today so the rest will have to wait until tomorrow. (Item No 2 on the Must Do list.)
Good luck with the two things on your Must Do list. Supposedly, the weather is going to improve tomorrow so you might get the rest of your carpets done.0 - Does leaving the dog at home alone for three and a half hours count? You're doing really well, Dolphin, and putting me to shame with the frequency of your updates.
- I've set up the crate in my office with the doors open and I played with him for quite a bit right next to it last night. He didn't seem to mind the clanking at all. Initially I took the tray out and put it next to his Adapt!1 puffer with a fleece on it so he got used to the feel of it and he's been quite happy sleeping on it for about 10 days or so when I'm in the room. The idea is that when I start putting a k0ng with cooked chicken in it he'll just get in, play and munch. Every little helps, as they say.
- Broccoli and stilton soup made and one third of it scoffed; the rest of the soup saved for lunches and the rest of the stilton frozen at last.
- Lights out slightly later last night but well before midnight and I woke up lovely and early, told the dog we weren't going out that early, drank an entire flask of fruit tea and surfaced at the very civilized hour of 7.30 am, feeling as though I'd had a lie in. Perfect.
- Dog insurance phone calls made, quotes got. Waiting for a ring back but I think I know who I'll be going with. In the end, it was a post that said you guys were going to nag me that made me deal with it, so Good on you and thanks.
- Now that the sun's out I can go back to the chalet and do a bit more carpet washing. I've also decanted some paint to touch up the scuff marks on the walls and washed the new bedding ready to go over when it's dry.
Better is good enough.0 -

Great update, all very positive and on target. Well done! :T0 -
Day 15...
1) No chocolate or sweets but 6, yes you read it right, 6 biscuits. They were very small though so 2 counts as 1 in my book.
2) No cake.
3) Light off at about 11.30 but was up and down during the night as OH wasn't feeling well.
4) Meal plan for the week already done.
5) £10 sent to one of my nephews for his birthday which was already planned and budgeted for at the beginning of the month.0 -

We fly on 12th June, Honey, and it just cannot come soon enough!
Update:- Money. £27 spent on petrol and £13 at Teskies for mid-week essentials. And £3.75 spent in the pub when I met up with a few old mates last night - soft drinks only. I also 'bought' two beach towels from Teskie Direct using double-up clubcard points so they were actually free.
- Healthy eating. I drowned my sorrows in chocolate both yesterday and today. That Cadburys Marvellous Creations is taking over from Boost bars as my favourite. I feel disloyal.
- Water. Yep, at least four glasses.
- Sleep. Slept like a log last night and woke up feeling confused with no idea what day it was. I LOVE that feeling, although five times out of seven it's something of a disappointment!
- Spring-cleaning. Nah!
- Sit-ups. Nah. I've decided Dolphin is right and it's not worth risking a sports injury so close to my holiday :rotfl:

Happy, I realise my dog rolling in dog pooh once isn't quite as drastic as yours rolling in rotting corpses for a whole lifetime, but I have to say that this :rotfl:smiley now makes me think of things that stink! When is someone going to give us a vomitting smiley?
I'm sure I've seen a pukey smiley somewhere - it was a little green face with a 'x' for a mouth and it turned red and threw up. Anyway, I've emailed the MSE forum team to request one (not really).LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

SIX??? SIX??? (I'm pretending to be shocked, but actually I could eat a whole packet and not feel even slightly sick)
2) No cake.
Yes well you were probably a bit full after those SIX biscuits!!

Yay! You stuck to your £10. Go Dolphin!I told you those sit-ups were no good for you
Turns out you were right. I have sacked them off and will just try and suck in the flabby bits! I remember when I was a kid my mum used to wear something called a girdle. That's my plan for tonight actually
Thanks chaps. Unfortunately I did have a rubbish day yesterday. Apart from being kn*ckered because of the sleepless night, I had some bad news at work. Not just me of course, the entire team, but I will feel it more than some. Our expenses are being 'harmonised' which will basically mean a reduction in wages of £60 per month. That's come on top of the three year pay freeze we had to accept two years ago. The union is still negotiating, but it's pretty much a done deal. We will receive a lump sum compensation payment of around £700 in August, but from then on the reduction will hit. We knew it was coming really because our terms are better than most, but expected it to take a lot longer. So, more belt-tightening required, grrrrr . Very annoying but I've come to terms with it and it's not worth worrying about. Time to cheer up. Look --->
Oh, that's really rubbish. If only it was £700 every August and that would be fine.
We fly on 12th June, Honey, and it just cannot come soon enough!
I bet you are really glad you booked it now. Not long to wait! :j

Apart from the chocolate, not too bad but I can't really talk after eating 6 biscuits in one day. In my defense, I didn't eat them in one sitting.0
