To be fair Haily, whereas the situation is clear cut and obvious for long term readers here, I know that it isn't when you are not.
You did the right thing by questioning it and coming here to get more info. It's only been one month, no big deal. You now know and can act accordingly. No problems at all. Good luck.0 -
Haily when I met my wife we both had our own houses (both owned) and I probably stayed at her place most nights, we were both working full time and the only benefit involved was the 25% single occupant council tax discount. I do understand what you are saying why you might feel you are not living together because he still pays bills on another property.
Answer these question to yourself dont write a reply on here.
When your partner finishes work does he go home to his place, maybe take a shower get changed, watch tv for a bit then go to your place later on in the night or does he go straight to yours?
Where does he keep most of his clothes etc?
Where does he do his laundry?
Does he do a food shop for his own place?0 -
OP it is very clear that you are comiting fraud. Before you get caught you either need to claim as a couple or dump the lose. The choice is yours. Remember benefit fraud is a CRIME.0

HRMC would consider your situation fraudulant if you continue to claim benefits without informing them. I would get straight onto it IIWE.0

It never ceases to amaze me when people don't know if they're living together or not, and probably explains why these relationships bite the dust..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0 -

Absolutely. It shouldn't be that difficult, should it??(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
I'm more intrigued as to how two people who live together 7 days a week could say they are NOT cohabiting!!
Who can afford to have a flat sat empty these days, for the "just in case I fancy some time out" moments? Just ridiculous. It would be more sensible for the flat to be rented out (to pay for itself) and to go stay in a Travelodge for that one night every month or so he wants time to himself. If you live somewhere 7 days a week you contribute to THAT household. End of.DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

Clear as day that you are living together as a couple, based on what you have said.
I am surprised you do not expect him to contribute just because he has a house elsewhere! If he is eating your food and contributing to you running up your bills he should put his hand in his pocket and be a man, not a sponge.Thinking critically since 1996....0
