Not CTC? Is your daughter too old (you said she was on the electoral role so must be at least 16).
Do you have a disability? Otherwise don't see how you get WTC as earning £4k you probably don't work 30+ hours?0 -

I do not think you are a fraud or a cheat but you have to see this is not a boy dating girl situation, you are living as a couple and so should be considered as such.0 -
No sorry I got tha wrong, my daughter is 5. I am on the electoral role she isn't. I work 16 hours a week term time only, I spoke HM Revenue regarding term time only and I was advised that I would still be entitled. Before September I worked for 25 hours a week at the council, so this is all fairly new as well.0

Yes Stroodes I agree, as said before I was unsure and therefore appreciate the advice x0

TCan I just add that I am not sponging off taxpayers as someone put it,
The issue seems he seems to be sponging off you.
Someone who stays 7 nights a week with a "lone" parent (who relies on WTC) yet does not contribute to the household?
D70How about no longer being masochistic?
How about remembering your divinity?
How about unabashedly bawling your eyes out?
How about not equating death with stopping?0 -
He does not sponge off me. He does a lot of other things for us. My question was if we would be classed as cohabiting under legal terms, not relationship advice.0

There are no legal terms. It's up to you to decide. Do you feel as if you are living together and sharing your lives or not? You will need to keep monitoring it and notify hmrc when you think that you are. I would say that you are getting close to that point. It's not up to the hmrc to decide that you are or not. It's up to you. The fact you have two seperate households and keep finances strictly seperate and all his bills continue to go to his house helps. The sharing of meals can be done by girlfriend and boyfriend that's not a problem. Do other's such as your family and friends think that your relationship is more than just boyfriend and girlfriend? He does not sponge off me. He does a lot of other things for us. My question was if we would be classed as cohabiting under legal terms, not relationship advice.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

You could be well in receipt of overpayments as you are a couple, you have to declare this now, also overpayment will not be his will be yours, as this is your claim, tell him to make a commitment to you or move on.0 -
