very true
its easy to get carried away you need to be strict with youself
only print/buy what you know you'll use/really need
odd luxury ok but i always try to stick to buying what i only need.
so have a good stock of
laundry products
wash up liquid
soup
bathroom stuff
shower stuff
etcI totally agree, I usually buy value (starting switching this year) I got warburtons medium loaf knocked down to 68p then used 30p vouchers so that was better than the value loaf.
I do think it would be easy to get carried away on buying luxuries like cakes and puds etc especially when you don't normally buy them :rotfl:0 -
I find the best use of coupons is when the products are already reduced. For example, Tesco had Pilgrim's Choice cheese on B1G2F recently so I bought 6 packs and used 6 x 30p off coupons at the same time. It worked out at just over £3 per kilo after all the discounts - cheapest cheese I've bought in ages. This space has been intentionally left blank0

I caught this programme on one of the Sky channels late last night, and it got me quite excited, which is what has brought me to this forum this morning! I'm disappointed to see that it looks like it extreme couponning doesn't work here in the UK.
I've also been Googling for a UK based coupon clipping company and can't find one. Perhaps there's a gap in the market for a new business venture? I should apply to Dragon's Den!Extra Payment Every Week Challenge:
Week 1: £29.68
Week 2: £14.95
Week 3: £5.050 -

I think we can still do a bit even if it's not as extreme, I figured that if I coupon just £2 per week then it can go towards Christmas food next yearDebt Free Diary - Second Chances! Life in a Tourer........Tilly Tidy Founder in 2016, Tilly Tidy 2023 £17.43, NSD Jan 2023 9/10, Debt £13,491.650 -

Just wrote a lovely long post but my toddler came up and deleted it! I am addicted to Extreme Couponing we don't have sky but have watched it at inlaws and online. Its true you cannot do extreme couponing like on the show in this country but there are savings to be had. I have just printed off 4 coupons for 30p off vitalite-we use vitalite anyway and the cheapest we have got it previously is £1 for a 500g tub, which is the normal price in ASDA but sadly we don't have an ASDA anywhere near us, still getting it for 90p each with coupon is great. Have also just got 3 £4 off coupons for nature babycare nappies off their site (if you register your email for their new customer loyalty 'ambassador' scheme-just used two of my emails and one of my OHs before it stopped me doing anymore); again this is something we use and there is a 2 for £10 offer on in Sainsburys anyway so per pack it will be around £3 instead of the nearly £7 a pack they are usually0

Do u shop at Tesco? If u buy the Vitalite there separate to your main shop with the coupons and put the receipt thru Priecheck and you would get voucher for 80p back as well as saving the £1.20 from the coupon, so 70p per tub from Tesco.0 -
Thanks for that; unfortunately Tesco isn't that local but if I get the chance to go there before the vitalite coupon expires on the 13th I will be bearing your tip in mind :T0
