  • Thank, I hadn't thought about facebook actually, I forget they have a sell/buy bit there. Will definately be worth having a look. I guess I could also have a look at doing a craft fair with Mum, she makes cards so it could be a little earner for both of us.

I am a worrier, I just try to beat the worries down :D

There are LOADS of businesses on there. Home made cards, cakes, cushions. All sorts!

I had a tax rebate last month and treated myself to a sewing machine as I want to learn to make things and mend things instead of relying on mum all the time. Must have been becoming a mum myself that did it. Ha! If I can get the hang of it, I'd definitely sell through there. Good luck though! x

  • That sounds like a great idea, and remember it's not just clothes you can make, bags, home furnishings etc. I know I'd happily have handmade stuff in my house I love the individuality of it.

Well less that 6 hours to go until the New Year, probably time to think through some resolutions.

    1. I want to lose some weight (ideally 1-2 stone before my 30th in June)
    2. Try to get my c/c debt back below £10,000
    3. Be Happy
    4. Maybe look for Mr Right

Hmm 4 things should be easy enough right?? And no 4 is only a maybe ;)

Oh actually make that 5 things:

Take packed lunches to work EVERY day :D

I know that No 2 doesn't look like much, but I think it will make a difference psychologically to be back under the 10k mark. Anything extra will just be a bonus, that and I don't want to but to much pressure on myself.

    Yes, that sounds good :D

    Morning :D

Well it's 2012 officially now, roast gammon is in the oven cooking, so I can already smell lunch :j possibly off to the hosptial today or tomorrow to visit my cousin, we aren't sure yet.

Had a lovely free fireworks display thanks to some of the locals, and very nice they were too :rotfl:and perhaps more impressively there were all over in about 30 mins so got to sleep relatively quickly.

Time for the hard work to start, diet technically starts today, so will have to limited the biscuits and chocolate still left in the house to a couple a day . And has we have the biggest joint of gammon I've ever seen we have enough for meals and lunches for days, so packed lunches for tuesday are sorted :T

All in all looks like today will be another nicely chilled one

OK today was not a nicely chilled day... well not all day.

We went to visit my cousin today, who is ok, still in shock I think but is on the mean. He was very lucky not to lose the bottom part of his leg below the knee . That wasn't the stressful bit, that was his mother  things haven't aways been good between us (her, Mum and me) but you'd think she'd but that to one side!!! We see more of my cousin (he's 42ish) than she does as his mother!!! We walked into the ward, she looked at us and said 'oh it's you' frowned and looked away :mad: how welcome did we feel. Apparently family only includes her and her children, sod the rest of us . So we stuck it out, got half an hour with him and then made our escape. Just very angry about it all.

But we had a lovely roast and watched Bolt on TV when we got back :D Nice bath and now I'm curled up on my bed ready for an early night.

Oh and most impressive for a day that included a hosptial visit, a NSD :T they weren't charging for carparking :D

You can't choose your family! Glad he's on the mend though, sounds like he was very lucky.

Glad the evening turned out ok though and well done on the NSD day, very lucky!

Very true, just may me angry as there was no need for it.

He's going to be ok, we are a little worried about the whole shock thing. He doesn't seem to be able to process what's happened. But he's in the best place, and he will get there in the end
