  • Hi Peabody!

Seems I have found my double - we have similar names, similar avatars, a similar amount of debt and only a couple of years difference in age! Weird!!

How about making your own soups from leftover veg etc? It's quite easy to do....

great ideas here: https://www.lovefoodhatewaste.com or http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/content/recipes/favourites/soup/

I make up a batch and freeze it down into portions to have later

Thanks, I'm going to have a look at this, I did this when I was at Uni and it was so good. Kind of lost the way a little though.

Glad to have found you again Pea, have to admit I get you and Kayleighpea confused at times...although confused is my natural state so its all good. :)
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

  • ok today was a good day.

I had a very small spend, managed to find some lovely cards in the sale so I have them ready for later in the year when friends Birthdays come round :D

Off to visit a friend tomorrow evening, I'm bringing the wine (gifts from Christmas) she's providing the take way :T so much merriment will be had by all.

Oh and a thank you to everyone who's commented so far, it's nice to have some company. My Mum know's I have debt, but she doesn't know all the figures. She would just worry and isn't in a position to help, so it's nice to be able to off load here. Your all great.

    Plan for tomorrow:

    Take Mum food shopping
    Do some Housework
Take back one of Mum Christmas presents (either we're stupid or it doesn't work properly)
Pay Christmas money into the bank.

I think that's enough, I don't want to be doing to much on my holiday :rotfl:

  • Ok I've been having a read through a couple of threads and have come up with some ideas.

Firstly at the end of each week I'm going to collect all my loose change and put it in my piggy bank, then at the end of the month pay in off my cc. It won't be much but every little helps right.

Secondly I want to do something with the weight I need to lose. I'm currently a very porky 18st 6 (ish):eek::o:o:( so to get to my ideal weight of 10st (:rotfl:) I need to lose 120 lbs. Hmm might try for at £1 a lb and see how I get on.

  • Good idea about the piggy bank, every penny counts!

  • Good Afternoon lovely people.

Well so far today it's been a strange one.

Found out this morning that one of my cousins was hit by a car on his walk home from the pub last night  luckily it looks like a broken leg, a small head injury and cut and brusies. Nothing that shouldn't heal ok, but still bless him.

Took one of Mum's Christmas presents back today as we couldnt get it working properly and ended up having a refund. She says she doesn't want anything in replacement, which means I am £20 up :) My Mum's a star.

I managed to pick up a blank chipboard photo album for £3 which I am going to decorate and fill for my friends birthday in March, and with stuff I already have I don't need to get anything else for her. So complete bargin there :money:I just need to work which pic's I'm going to use.

I've been to the bank and paid in the money I needed to, but may pass on the housework as I'm nice and warm curled up under my duvet and can't be bothered to move :D
