Mix it with tomato sauce and use it as a sauce to bind cooled cooked rice, tuna and sweetcorn. Makes a nice cold rice salad good for packed lunches. I prefer using salad cream as I don't like mayo, but mayo works fineAlso add some paprika and chopped herbs if you have any.

Hello ladies
I have a question for you if you don't mind. I just made some cheese savoury using some sad looking spring onions (and cucumber, grated cheese, extra low fat mayo and flaxseed) - how long can you keep this in the fridge? I am hoping it will be OK for lunches for the rest of the week but I am not sure if it would go funny.0 -
I guess it would keep as long as the mayo would usually keep, but I don't know? I imagine it would go a bit watery when it starts turning so that might be the time to stop eating it!0

I was going to make soup with chicken stock this evening but I have put it off until I get some advice! My chicken stock seems a bit greasy, would I dilute it down much for soup? I haven't made soup with real stock before so am a bit unsure what it should look like.
Also, if you use veg peelings for stock would you just simmer it down and then drain out the peelings?
This thread is really teaching me to cook, I love it!!0 -

We bought some of that mayo with a hint of wholegrain mustard a while back, and OMG it is gorgeous! So I'd probably mix it with a bit of wholegrain, and make a cheaty version. The shop bought stuff probably has more ingredients in it though!
@ Miss Emma Jane, seeing as it's Tuesday today, I reckon you should definitely be ok with the cheese savoury til Friday. And thanks also for inspiring me to do something similar myself! Though as I don't have any flaxseeds I might use a bit of cayenne pepper instead. :T0 -
Oh, nearly forgot, OH told me I have to add another 20p for 2 breadrolls which went mouldy
Running total for month, 40p and counting!0
