Thank you for all your comments and discussion. I videod it to watch later but unfortunately got pictures but no sound (video is well past it but I'm too tight to replace it) Watched the piccies and read your synopsis - so I've just about got the zist of the prog. Not impressed by the so called expert and agree they should make a programme about us savvy MSE'rs.
I'm obviously not going to squander uneccesary cash on a new video just yet so would you all mind watching Corro of Friday followed by American Idol, Ant 'n' Dec on Saturday and anything else you think I may be interested in (history channel is good for me, QVC or Ideal World for Mrs MATH) and then discuss at length. :eek:Thanks in advance;)Life's a beach! I have seriously cut down the amount of TV I watch by reading the programme transcripts in advance on the web. Obviously this has also cut down the amount of work I do but my boss doesn't seem to have noticed & I am the hub of the office beacuse I know exactly whats going on in Eastenders both now & for the next 4 weeks, even though I haven't watched it in over a year, thanks to Walfordweb, & also whats going on & goign to happen in Hobly city, even though hubby talks through every episode (Jess tells Zubin on March 29th if you're interested), thanks to holby gazette & who did it in advance of each weeks episode of CSI thanks to csiphile.com. If I could find out the entire plotlines of the new Inspector Linley series I could get rid of my TV & save the license fee!Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

Oh, I dunno, LL? Maybe you could squander it completely recklessly on a (haggled of course) luxury holiday for you and OH to somewhere hot and exotic? Or if that doesn't do it for you, you could send me and Mr TM somewhere hot and exotic.:D
Seriously, start saving it, it'll soon mount up, then if you want a big purchase, you've got a stash to delve into. Maybe something you'd never have thought of - I inherited some money last year from my gran, so spent it on the garden and a lovely big summerhouse. We can't have a conservatory, so next best thing and gran was a garden lover so she'd approve.0 -

Oh and why did the girl buy THAT jumper from the charity shop? Couldn't that crap presenter at least advised her on good taste if not on how to save money...I think not judging from her outfit.0

OOH shallowpockets, you are so right! My daughter and I were shouting at the screen NOOOOOO! Fancy putting her in a horizontal striped jumper when she was so fat!
Trinny and Susannah would have had a heart attack!
Didn't think much of this prog either, they seem to feature people who don't live in the real world! I have £1000 a month (including Tax Credits and Child Benefit) to pay all my bills, feed and clothe three of us, and at the moment I only have a very small debt (including a mortgage).
They should ask some of us MSE'ers to appear!!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

You're so right the little savings that I try and make daily wouldn't make great tv but make a lot of difference in my life and any inspiration I get is from this site and certainly not from programmes such as the one just shown.
Had a good giggle about the charity shop jumper until this morning when better half told me that my outfit looked like something that the presenter would have worn.0
