Carefully ignores Z talking about girlie....

Finally have all three ebay items sold this week paid for, packed and ready to post. Also got the list back from one of the girls at work of which DVDs she wants so have them boxed up for her too.

Got an o/t shift booked tomorrow, and am hopefully going to see the bloke for a little while after work, although he might be with his minime in which case I'll get some 'abuse' from him while I'm working (fully deserved I took full advantage of his being at work with his boss earlier...). Have to admit have been having a 'too good to be true' thought or two this afternoon, as its so very very rare that all my work colleagues like the same customer but theres no point being daft while I'm enjoying myself!

I'm sure you could fake it, given an incentive and an infusion of alcohol... ;)

Booked to view a couple of properties in the next couple of days, one is very close to where I work but looks a bit grotty on the outside, the other looks lovely but is about the same distance from work as I am now.

I really really liked the second one of the places I viewed - despite it being a flat and having no outside space.....but it's a decent sized bedroom, and living area, and one really big storage cupboard which would fit most of the junk I don't want to offload (things like the bed from the spare room here I would plan to either sell or get stored at my Dad's house for the time being).

So operation clear out really really needs to get moving - aside from anything else I need to find the money to pay what feels like horrific fees (1.5x rent as a deposit + ref fees which as I need a guarantor the agent I spoke to wasn't certain of).

But to that end yesterday I took 20 DVD's to the girl at work in return for a nice crisp £20 note which is in my moving fund money box, along with the £3 change I got from buying some groceries with a gift voucher at MrS's last night.

Need to get on with some more small ebay listings too, found some more odd little bits and pieces I can get rid of which won't take long to list, and those odd 99p's here and there add up quickly!

OK holding and referencing fees paid....am currently taking lots of deep breaths as the idea of now finding another £1800 is a little scary!

The plus side is my new landlady works in another branch of the agency I'm dealing with so I at least know shes professional about it, and I can't see any reason I wouldnt get the vast majority of mydeposit back from this house, once I've given the carpets a clean and wiped down the usual muck accumulating areas.

Must be a really big cupboard to fit a bed into...

    You'll manage it.

I take it this means you're staying in that area for now?

For now, the lease on the new place is either 6 months or 12 with a 6 month break clause- cant remember now which we agreed. I did say things like the bed are going to go to be stored at Dads.....but the cupboard will easily fit my dive kit and mountain bike, as well as plenty of other stuff with careful arrangement - of course the plan is to not have stuff to need fitting in to it, beyond the semi essentials (vaccuum, ironing board etc).

What made you decide to stay there?

Does the fact that the dive gear isn't being off-loaded mean you're going to be looking for a more scuba friendly job?

The decider has been my parents doing my nut in from a distance for the last week!

Plus for the size of the place and where it is the rent is good value - that said I know part of that is due to the bedroom over looking a national speed limit road (infrequently used at night) and another set of military firing ranges which as I have one of those right by where I am now along with the train line I figure will be no more of a disturbance there than it is here.

Always looking for a more 'life' friendly job, will knuckle down and do the complete rewrite on my cv some time this week (I've OU work to do before my o/t shift tomorrow evening but if I can get that done will make a start tomorrow) and then next week will take copies to the local agencies again.

Is that what parents are designed for? ;)

Unless it's a motorway (or a major A road), then that shouldn't be too bad.

I don't know if there's a season for it, but I very rarely see firing ranges in use.

Occasionally see the big red flag, but nobody wandering around.
