He's a bloke of course he does, but I'll have to see how the actual date with the other guy goes earlier in the week, then beat him/force him to drink tequila if he dares to overstep the mark. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Or beat him/feed him tequila if he fails to overstep the mark if the first date goes badly..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Well that goes without saying - assuming of course I'm drunk enough to think he's worth losing as a mate
And on that note I'm going to attempt to get some sleep! It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

That doesn't have to happen. Though it does, and often.scubaangel wrote: »And on that note I'm going to attempt to get some sleep!
I thought that is the exact opposite to that note..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

From the evidence of the last two days of flirting via assorted phone and online sources plus having spent a good 5 hours sat chatting to the malecreature who is the actual 'date' I suspect my mate is going to be remaining firmly a friend.
Did a mystery shop for dinner this evening so have that to write up (currently open in another window). And after taking my drinking buddy and her finace to the airport this morning I'm £10 richer - have left that in the car and will use it to top up the fuel when it drops to under 3/4 full. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Oh yes? What's he not doing then? Or is the other one just too good?scubaangel wrote: »Did a mystery shop for dinner this evening so have that to write up (currently open in another window).

I find it's not worth even opening the fuel cap to spend a tenner. I spent over £90 the last time and I didn't leave it until the fumes.
I remember *insert sepia-vision here* when I couldn't fill my car with £20.
It didn't hold enough petrol..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

The 'date' bloke is just seeming like a really nice guy, I know hes not too dodgy - around the military I tend to think they're all dodgy in some way - as his best mate at work is married to one of the girls I work with, always been a friendly but not inappropriately so customer, but I'd assumed he was married (what with him having been when he first moved to the site). But for whatever we just seem to click (so far), same sense of humour, call a similar area up north home, not much in common interests wise but have found plenty to talk about while he's been in keeping us company while we've enjoyed a quiet weekend.
It "only" cost me £50 to fill mine the other week, I think it used to cost me about £35 to fill my first car 9 years ago. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Just a little bit dodgy...scubaangel wrote: »- around the military I tend to think they're all dodgy in some way
Now there's a recommendation for you...scubaangel wrote: »- as his best mate at work is married to one of the girls I work with, always been a friendly but not inappropriately so customer, but I'd assumed he was married (what with him having been when he first moved to the site). That's good.scubaangel wrote: »It "only" cost me £50 to fill mine the other week, I think it used to cost me about £35 to fill my first car 9 years ago.
Ah yes...my first car was a bit longer than 9 years ago. Petrol was 34p per litre (NOT 134p per litre) - which didn't last long...

Two more items sold on ebay, one has already been paid for so has been packed and labelled up ready to go to the PO tomorrow before work, am hoping the other will be paid for this evening too so I can get it all done at once and then of course that means a few more pennies making their way in to my bank account from paypal.
Last nights date went really well so we're going out again tomorrow night - what with my daft shift pattern and his being equally daft we're going to be doing alot of random lunch/breakfast/midnight dates if we're going to keep seeing each other! It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
