Can I be put down for £300 for January. I'll be keeping an annual total, but not quite sure what my annual target will be yet.
I'm going to transfer that £300 to a separate bank account with a debit card to see if that helps me stay on track better than keeping everything in my main account did.Future hopes, dreams & emergencies fund: £4,000

Hi everyone,
This is my 1st grocery challenge. In our house theres me, DH, DS(4), DD(15mths), and 1 cat. I usually do our shopping weekly on a tuesday so 5 shopping trips to plan for in january, but am planning to stretch each weeks shopping an extra day unless really desperate.
We have a freezer full of meats and veg which should hopefully last the month, and i have meal planned 16 dinners so far :T Our budget for january is £350. As everyone knows january is always a difficult month to get through, but hopefully with everyone's kind support and inspiration it'll be less lean and a great start to 20120 -

Hi Helen Jelly, thanks for popping my name down!
please put me down for £50 this month, i spent another £1.80 on a quarter pumpkin and a large pepper, wanted to do a soup but left it at me grams, will collect thursday, my freezer is rammed courtesy of whoopsies on crimbo eve, so i have spent £21.80 so far, but need very little, washing up pads and some Oil and maybe a little more veg,as i only have a lil bit of mixed veg left, small amount of broccoli i froze and tinned sweetcorn.
Have decided on an Annual budget of £675 this is £50 a month and £75 for bulk stuff bought in costco, ziplock bags, foil, oil etc, so at least i have enough, am stocked up on costco things already so shouldnt need any for now.
My budget is for a single person, this year i want to stick to it! i mean it! lolLose 28lb 3/28lb

Please put me down for £260.
My month runs from 25th to 24th as am paid on 25th. I spent heaps in December for Christmas, but I am now well stocked up and will be working now up to and including New Year's Eve. so lots of NSDs.
I plan to try to put some money aside every month for next Christmas (and to try to avoid catering for so many visitors next year!!)
Thank you to all who have created such a valuable resource here and good luck to all.Grocery challenge month runs from 25th to 24th

Thank you for shiny new thread :j
January will be a use up / clear out freezer month so hoping spends will be limited. Undecided on budget at the moment. I will either not set a budget and aim to spend as little as possible or will set a budget but set it low.... will have a think...0
