Hello, and thanks to those who keep this thread going.
Well, December was a first attempt and despite all your advice, I went for too low a starting point and failed miserably. I haven't updated my sig, but will start again on the 1st.
I am giving myself an annual budget of £3000 which is for 3 of us, 2 dogs and 5 chickens ... to include all cleaning products too.
So a monthly average of £250.

This month for a number of reasons, I am on cash only, debit card is not in my purse so if its not there, it can't be used.

Hmm, a major challenge there, but it is a new year ... good luck everyone :j

Hello, please can i join? Think i tried it last january but failed straight away and got disheartened but our food bills is daft so need to cut it down. Please can you put down 200.00 for us, this is a lot less than i have been spending and don't want to be too unrealistic for 5 of us and lots of animals :)

helen jelly - could I please be moved to the annual budget for groceries please? Sorry for being a pain :o.
For my partner, me and 2 chinchillas we will be aiming for no more than £1,320 for the year (£110/month average).

Thought this would make the budget easier as some things we buy in bulk and this way I don't just see an expencive month. This will be the first time doing it as annual so I hope it works out well.

Hi everyone - never ever done a budget for the month before so as it is my first month I want to try and get a handle on what I actually do spend - so for this month I would like to have a budget of £400 - I am going to track everything I spend so in future months I will be more informed. I am hoping that 2012 will be the year that I take control and start tackling my over-spending
  • Please put me down for £610. Thats for two adults, two teens, a 7 year old and 2 ginger tomcats. I would love to get it to a hundred pounds again, but with spiralling food prices I'm struggling.

Right, it's about time I got back into the GC 100%, I have some serious saving to do this year! My Jan budget is £40 please. This is for me and partly OH, let's say 1.5 people :rotfl:
Must make more afternoon trips to market for cheap veg and get used to dried beans in everything again.
