Hello & welcome aboard to newcomers mcculloch 29 & pippo :hello:

I'll add you to the members list in a minute.

Congratulations to all who have achieved a No Spend Month :A

Really well done to you :T it's harder to do this challenge than it first appears; especially if you're used to going shopping & buying stuff out of habit.

I'll be honest & say that I'm still quite surprised at how often some people do go shopping & am grateful that work keeps me busy enough so that I don't have time :).

Good luck to everyone for February, it's a really short month so let's see how many of us can avoid spending on unnecessary clothes for the next 4 weeks :D

    ps -

Katy721 - not overkill at all to do an inventory, that's exactly how I know that I don't need any shoes or bags, but that I will need some white t shirt type tops in the summer ;)

    Hi everybody,

Just reporting in to say I haven't had any clothes spends in January :T

I've taken the freedom challenge to heart and have been wearing 2 cardigans, and blouse with vest underneath, and a white blouse, that I haven't worn in ages. I actually received a compliment on one of my 'new' outfits, I was so surprised I had to do a double take to make sure the lady was talking to me, I very graciously thanked her before walking away with a massive beam on my face. :)

Okay I'm ready for it, bring on February :rotfl:

Well done on the no spends! :T

We tend to buy clothes to make ourselves feel good, reward doing something well or comfort ourselves if something not so good happens, so the best thing about freedom days is that you get the buzz of being complimented on 'new' clothes but without the spending! :D

Today I have freed a teal/green jumper to go with my black trousers. I'm back to my black pumps as I've got a lot of running around to do at work and I haven't mastered the running in heels thing yet!:rotfl:

once (I think after reading an article) I listed all my clothes and accessories and put a list on the wardrobe door and each time I went out I wrote down what I wore.............have to say soon got fed up of doing it:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I do try and rotate stuff to avoid keep wearing the same thing.I put all clothes of the same colour together so if I go for reds one week the next one I do another colour and do try out different colour mixes as in the orange/purple thing I have going on this week:)
  • Well done old tractor! no spend at all ?
I have sinned I bought 2 pair of shoes ( they are for work ) and 2 pair of tights for 57.97, so im down to £56 for the year! Scary !
On the other hand I found a pair of nice trousers that is the perfect length for my new shoes :-)

There used to be an app for iphone where you could list all the clothes you have with a picture and then you could browse in between them.
    CC consolidated to £3400
