I am going to have a quick rummage soon to see what there is. Need to get some heating on upstairs first! I am not holding out much hope for finding any forgotten gems, I have moved house that often my wardrobe is pretty small0

just popping in to say that i freed a pair of brown knee high boots to go with one of the very cheap next dresses i got a last week or was it the week before, doesn't really matter
. Didn't really like the brown boots becasue they had lace up bits as decoration round the ankles, but carefully attacked with a craft knife they are now plain brown and I love them. Not sure why I didn't do that before :rotfl:
No more spend to confess to, but I do find myself looking quite a lot especially when people mention brands that I love, but looking is ok.
Will have to purchase some vest tops etc for the summer, but seeing as it is sleeting at the moment I think i can forget about those for a while.
Hope everyone is having a good weekJan 13/15 Feb 16/15 March 19/20 April 17/15:D May 0/17

Hello all
went into Cambridge today, had a butchers round M*S and bought.... nuffink... hurrah!!!:j:j:j toddled round East (yes I know I shouldn't) but their sale had ended and came away empty handedthen Monsoon and bought a hat reduced to £3 so not bad. Knew I had some bits to get in Lakeland and then mouched round the CS' and bought a cracking retro shirt for £3 so all in all, a reasonable day. Am chuffed with the shirt as I wear a lot of tank tops, put them under cardigans and jackets and am toasty as I walk and cycle most of the time.
No other spends on clothing so not doing too badly....SPC Nbr.... 1484....£800 Saved £946 in 2013)

its always worthwhile moaning about Mr T deliveries, their customer service is very good. After the 3 time of leaving his french loaf on the van my friend got his shopping for free lol.0

Oooh and I have found another clothes not-buying technique. I was in Primarni at Marble Arch today, had to be in London and the chill when I was there made me decide that the boys need more vests. Anyway its so HUGE and packed and just FULL that I got the things I went in for (vests and trousers for Mr growth spurt one and two) and was too overwhelmed for anything else0

Reading through peoples posts, people have some lovely items in their wardrobes for freedom days!
I really need to start on freedom days as the BF commented the other day how I always wear the same things.
I don't know that I do actually have much decent to set free though
Trying for a No Spend Feb, so really do need to have a rummage through my wardrobe.
Not sure how my £99 are going to last me a year though. My two decent-ish jumpers are getting a right wearing at the moment, and come summer, my vests and t-shirts from last year are pretty worn. They also have holes in as the dog went through a phase of helping unload the washing machine!
I might be really tight and sit down and do an inventory of whats in my wardrobe and try and work out exactly what I need to buy.
Or is that a bit overkill?
Nothing wrong at all with doing an inventory if that works for you xxFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Evening all. On to confess to a few spends over the weekend. A lovely floral highwaisted pencil skirt from Topsh*p for £15 which fits me perfectly and I will be able to wear now with tights and in the summer /on hols without..and 2 pairs of shoes from the last day of the Of*ice sale- a pair of black lace-up boots to replace my old faithfuls which were falling to bits for £15 ( was £65) and a pair of lovely retro leather shoes in cream and black with straps for £12 (was £65 also). So Im over £100 now.
I'm planning no spending at all in February as we have lots planned and I won't be going near shops at all as will be too busy hopefully:o. Still have my £38 of vouchers for Debenhams so will save those to spend in March I think, before I go to Spain.
Wore a Purple sweater dress today (£8 M&S) with a multi beaded necklace (M&S), black tights (£2 Pri*ark), and new boots (£15 O*fice).
Tomorrow I think I will have a partial freedom day and wear my long 70's style dress I got from Urban O*tfitters last year. I love it to pieces and wear it again and again and is such an example to buy when you know you love something hugely. I kept trying this dress on everytime I went in and hanging back from buying till the final time I went in it was down to £18. Well I couldn't resist after it being £75 full price and It's still one of my all time favourites.
I will team it with my victorian style boots and a brown velvet oversized blazer which was a fabulous CS find).
I plan to alter some of my clothes tomorrow ready for the summer ( if I have time!!) and I need to find a blouse pattern to make a couple in a style I love in the shops but refuse to buy at full price!!Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)
Grocery challenge November : £291.65/300.00 NSD 10
Grocery challenge December : £0/240.00 NSD0 -
I know it is a month into the year, but can I join too please?
I need to loose a shed load of weight and also a shedful of clothes!
We are planning to do a loft conversion, which will take every spare penny, but to be able to consider starting I need to do some serious 'getting rid of!'.
[STRIKE]If[/STRIKE]When I loose weight I could probably have a Freedom month or two, with all the smaller clothes crammed into cupboards and cases!
I don't often buy expensive items these days, but like others, can't resist a bargain or a Charity Shop!
I'm setting my budget at £150 for the year, less the £2.75 spent on a top at CS last week. No spends planned for a while.
Pip
