Ah bliss. sitting watching the afternoon turn into evening, birds singing, and the tealight has revived the wax left over in one of my old candles, filling the room with the scent of jasmine. This could be a thousand and one holiday evenings. Mmmmm.
Decided that when we get our house I'm going to create a courtyard area, with cobbles, and water feature and lots of ferns growing up the walls, add some candles and this will be my haven.
And after typing in cobbled courtyard with ferns, into google images I didn't neccessarily get back pictures of what I wanted mine to look like, but the random pictures it produced did find me some places I'd like to visit. How about this? keep scrolling to the bottom .http://foodloversodyssey.typepad.com/my_weblog/2010/11/food-of-dordogne-market-day-in-sarlat.html

Morning folks!
Feeling pretty good this morning, and not going to let work kill my buzz today. Other people leaving things to the last minute does not translate into me being stressed and running around. Not happening.

And on further thoughts to keep things into perspective...
Work and all that stuff is like the makeup of the world, your family and real things are the bare face underneath it all, real and matters. Hope that analogy kinda makes sense.
Today I will be getting some seeds for flowers that are good for the bees and other winged wildlife

As predicted the disorganized person at work brought their things in at the last minute, and then demanded that paperwork that they needed from me, not only that they hovered over me for the next 15 minutes querying everything.
Why can't they just sod off? I told them that I needed this stuff a week ago for precisely the reason that there were bound to be queries, most of them that I could not answer because I have not done the job before. I think the 'tough !!!!' banner is going to be waved around a lot today. Grrr.
And the stomach pains I had last week were stress related, I was fine all day yesterday until this person came in.
Anywho, still chilled. 3 days to go.

I've come on to winge, so pass me by if you want to...
So todays affliction was my back kicking off. My shoulders have been hurting for weeks, probably because I'm tense. Now my back has kicked off. Grrr.
This job is literally killing me inch by inch. If I'm not on here for the next few days, it's because one of my arms dropped off. Meh.

So it's one day to go tomorrow and it all seems like a dream to be honest.
I was going to chase the docs up today about my CBT appointment, and forgot, but when I got in from work an appointment letter had come in the post-next thursday. I have a meeting that I'm supposed to minute that day at the time of my appointment, but as uncomfortable as this makes me, I am going to ask that someone else does it for me. I will not miss this appointment, especially as work is most likely responsible for my anxiety.
I'm really nervous about telling them that someone else will have to do it, but this is part of the new me. The old me would cancel because someone in my team would have to do it, and I'd feel bad asking them to do my dirty work. I must take this small hurdle though.

Yesterday decided to try the mens leather brogues that OH got from a charity shop (unworn mind, I wouldn't wear smelly mens shoes), with my dress to work. I have to say I looked quite stylish and they were damn comfy too *newsflash- mens shoes are sooo comfy*
Anyway I won't bore you with my prattlings. Have a fab day everyone. xx

Today was supposed to be a gentle cruise into my annual leave. Me being the conscientious idiot that I am thought I'd run it past my boss before asking someone on my team to cover the meeting for me. What resulted was a 'oh yes, but just this once, and as long as they are happy to do it, and make sure that any future appointments are at the beginning of the day or the end'.
This resulted in me exploding, crying and then feeling utterly carp. I had to wait four hours before I even dare send them a reply, in which I reminded them that this appointment was for a mental health issue, caused by the stress of work, and that I was a very giving and conscientious employee who to date had been more than flexible in regard to their work, and had received non of the same in return. That I had gone above and beyond by offering a solution to the problem when I didn't need to, and that I would appreciate their support not being made to feel like I was an inconvenience to my colleagues.
Their reply for this was that they were aware that it was a mental health issue and that they didn't want this person to take on something that was above their grade. To which my reply was, this is why I was checking with you first, the whole meeting would be prepared in advance and a run down of what it was to consider gone through with the person. I am constantly working above my grade.
I was so down at lunch and a car was coming towards me and I couldn't have cared if it didn't stop and ran me over.

And now I have had time to reflect on the above. Screw them! My life is not about that job, my life is exactly that. I am not a slave, nor will I be treated like one. Tomorrow is my debt free date. I am awesome, and they better start showing me some appreciation!
