Went to MrT today but for a good reason, honest! Had a few lingering clubcard vouchers and it seemed silly not to use them up, considering they are my payback for past spends and not contributing to the profits. VERY proud of myself as I spent to the value of a few pence over their value only (couldn't get it any nearer with the things that I needed) Then went to Waitr+se to get the other couple of things I needed

So thats it Mr T.... you have seen the last of me!

Everyone is doing so well and is so motivated!

I nearly cracked today; tried to be organised and made my lunch last night (ham and pea soup) but picked up the wrong container and brought the remainders of the chilli in which had no rice.

Thought I would have to go to Sainsbury's and get a microwave rice but there is a new cheapie store near work (Family Bargains) so popped in there and got the rice - and managed to pick up a king sized flannelette (sp?) sheet for £5.99 which I have been looking out for so that was a bonus.

    Hi All

Well I haven't spent yet however will be tonight. I shall do this in Aldi.

I have been wondering though - if we didn't use Aldi etc either then where would you or may be already the case, where do you buy things like soap, deodorant, tinned tomatoes, washing powder and so on from. The other things that make up a grocery shop, well for me at least!

I don't want to step foot back into Tesco so trying to preempt things....eg honey, choc spread, golden syrup and so on are cheap as chips in Tesco but seen as I am not going back it's got me thinking! Things are already tight and this stuff is more expensive in Aldi however I will give it ago.

    Sorry for the ramble!

    No shopping today :)

I am going to get challenged tomorrow though as I will be in a Sainsburys doing some research for work  Must resist, must resist!
Well I managed to resist :j

Just nipped to Lidl on the way back for Pepsi max, Shampoo, & conditioner.

Found a farm shop on the internet that is close so I will check it out at the weekend.

    Morning all

Well I went to Aldi last night and spent £14 or there abouts which I was pleased about. I am finding a balance now with Aldi.

I am enjoying this stay away from the big 4 challenge!

No more spends for me until the weekend when I get next week's packed lunch things.

I need to cook a roast at the weekend too which will do me for sarnie meat for next week.

    xx

No shopping here today but I will have to get Mozzeralla & sugar tomorrow. I'm somewhere where I do not know the shops with work so I will have to ask around or go for a wander to find somewhere to buy them.

Well done everyone, great going so far :)

I've been using up toiletries for over a year now but today I finally ran out of conditioner and was also near the bottom of the shampoo. So I bought some in Aldi to try. Also saw a garden kneeler reduced to £8-99 and as I've been looking for one for a while I got that too. Same thing is £24-98 in B&Q  so saved lots of cash as well as my dodgy knees :T

Had a look on mysupermarket to see what my shopping (except for the kneeler) would have cost me elsewhere - cheapest would have been Mr A at 14% more for like for like stuff.

No shopping this weekend as all stocked up already. Will be in town on Monday though so will have a look at Poundland, Wilkinson's etc which I only get to visit a couple of times a year. Will also scout round for a butcher.

Going well here, stocked up at Lidl this morning on vegetables etc. Cabbage, carrots, 5kg onions to make home made coleslaw.

I got 1.6k of cheddar as well for £4.48 :) Weekend deal. We go through a lot of cheese.

Also picked up some gammon steaks. I'm going to try that farm shop later today for meat.

Well done on your saving Lizzie :)
