not got that one ...... sooorrryyy. Have zillions of spare bits of light green but that's probably no good.
Have you tried asking on the WOXC facebook group (i assume it has one) incase there's anyone there with a kit going spare?

Not to worry, thank you though.
Yep, the fb group was going to be my next port of call. I am going to finish off what I can on it, then post a pic on the group

i hope you manage to locate the one you are after

Hope you don't mind me imposing, and popping into your thread.

I have done one cross stitch, for my mum's 70th in 2007. It made her cry (with joy)(not because it was an appalling cross stitch!!!). Well TBH it also made me cry a lot because it was a complete labour of love, and it took FOREVER! AND I only just got it finished AND the framer let me down.

Anyway. It is my mum's 75th this year so I decided it's time to do another. I have nearly 12 months to do it so fingers crossed.

    It's this picture: !C!SymCgEWk~$(KGrHqZ,!g4Ezd209YsgBNCWHkHrpw~~_3.JPG

    But I don't have a pattern.

I have found a seller on Ebay who is selling some sort of software to make a pattern out of a photo. It's only £3 so I am happy to pay that and experiment. But if anyone has any better ideas, I'd be v grateful to hear them.

(Please remember I'm very new to all this, so if you do have ideas, I'd be grateful if you would present them as if you were directing them to a small child!)

    Thanks All

Thank you for the comments on laminating. I am determined to give it a go.

Welcome to the cafe curly. Good luck with your Mums pic. I am sure someone will be along to offer you some advice. I haven't actually used the pattern/photo software stuff. Thats another thing on my 'to try' list :o. Look forward to hearing of you are getting along.

Hope the ladies who are tripping off this weekend have a lovely time.

    Hi Curly,

Just a note of caution, if you use one of the converter programs they tend to pick up every little change of shade in a picture, so you have to set the number of colours you want to use very carefully, otherwise you end up with lots of confetti stitching (lots of single stitches of different colours and no blocks of colour). Hope that makes sense!
Another way to do it would to put some grafe paper on top of the picture and plot out the chart that way.
    Hope this helps.

if you want to experiment with charting your own picture, try googling 'KG chart' It's a free charting programme that I've used before. It tends to come out with pretty good charts, but I agree with the warning above about setting the max number of colours carefully.
